How did you obtain your lovers?

Rescued her from the middle of nowhere. Skinny, scared, but wanting to be friendly. Its been a difficult road and there have been times I've considered giving her up, but shes helped me cope with some of the lowest points in my life.

All the dogs I have been with were fated to be with me I think. Since I live in such a rural area a lot of dogs get dumped out here and eventually make their way up to the house looking for food and a warm place to sleep. Being as I can't say no to anything with paws a lot of dogs and some cats have found their home here over the years. Though if I had a special one it would be one of my current dogs. I named him Bones because when I found him here he was literally skin and bones. I was running the tractor and bush hog( a giant mowing deck) down a ditch by the road in front of my property. At the last moment I saw something move in the tall grass I was about to run over with the tractor. I literally stood on the breaks and slid it to a stop. There he was, laying there looking so pitiful. I got him on the tractor and brought him home. I didn't think he was going to make it he was so emaciated and weak he couldn't even walk. Either some one threw him in that dtich or that was as far as he could go but he hardly ever leaves my side since that day.
Sad that happened, but glad someone like you was there to save him

We had so many animals in the house when I was growing up. So looking back it was only a matter of time before I found a different kind of love for them. ?

But the newest addition to the family is our Blue Nose Pit. He's 3 years old. We got him from a shelter when he was 4 months. The poor thing was initially with a very busy owner so he spent the first 3 months of his life in a kennel for HOURS. And because of that he started eating his own poop. So as you can imagine we were heart broken for him. Me and my boyfriend had wanted a dog for so long and we worked with the shelter to find the perfect match. And come Valentine's day they gave us a call to come pick him up. So we did. He was the best gift we could have gotten. The ASPCA are amazing.

All ours have been rescues and with one exception all loved long and healthy lives with us. Two we came upon by chance, the other was actively sought out in a rescue kennel. Sadly our last passed suddenly after only being with us for a relatively short time! But in that 18 months she came on in leaps and bounds in both confidence and health. It was like she'd always been with us. All are missed.

Ohhh... ??

My mix breed, I got him as a pup from a close family friend that started having pretty bad back problems and wouldn't be able to care for him properly. Even after a few surgeries, they're still mostly immobile, so anytime I head to their place to help out with something (mostly splitting wood for winter) I bring their not so smol boi over to visit while I do work. He was an outside dog until I got my own place. He adjusted quite well to the indoor life and pretty much claimed the sofa.

House felt a bit empty, so I checked out craigslist for a few weeks before an ad about a couple looking for a new home for their husky popped up. He was apparently too rowdy and they didn't have the time to even properly walk him daily due to their jobs. I was primarily looking for a female dog, but I had always wanted a husky, so I hit them up and decided to get him. He was thin and needed a good brushing, but other than that, he was completely healthy. A guy I worked with jokingly said for me to not get killed by the big dog. Sure enough, he got the zooms in the front seat and started swinging paws at me. I took a few to the face and damn near went off the road. It's a good thing he settled down and became a big part to my family here.

There's also my other 2 dogs I never talk about. Got them both from the same backyard breeder.
Gonna update this for my gal. Acquire her after a distant family member contacted me wanting to breed their husky to mine. I agreed, they dropped her off and after a few months, I was supervising the huskies stuck together. After the pups came and went, I took photos of momma dog during some of our hikes. Her owners remarked on how happy she looked in them. Then I took photos of when she was sleeping and they remarked on how seldom she done that when in their care. She was a pretty energetic husky, but everyday walks were enough to get her wore out. After a lengthy phone call with them, they felt it was best to grant me ownership since they felt they couldn't keep up with her everyday needs. They mailed me her papers and now I have a husky worth more than my car. So I acquired my recent gal by taking care of her.

My girl was left at my job before my shift started. When I got to work all my coworkers told me about what happened cause I've always wanted to have a husky of my own. Found out what shelter she was taken to and went down there and grabbed her. 1 year later and we're both very happy.

My mare was a an accident because her mother was in with a yearling. Yearling colts can make babies in case anyone ever tells you otherwise. I got my stallion through a rescue group. A lot of people think rescues never deal with intact animals but that isn't the case. The key is not to "adopt" an animal from a rescue. Keep a look out for re-homing sections or get a little involved. Sometimes intact animals can be gotten directly from people looking to get them a new home.

My Jack was from a sheriff's impounded livestock auction, he is quite intact.
Down here there are many feedlots that try to sell horses prior to shipping them to Mexico (where they're killed) so its doubly satisfying to get one from them.

Until my current boy a mutt I picked out of boy friend’s coworker a unplanned breeding I’ve always purchased pure breads from reputable breeders. I used to show my dogs but no more

How often do they breed you? If you don't mind me asking

I got my two boys on Morphmarket.com. It was very obvious that they were the breeder's failures in his breeding project, and he offered the two for $170, including postage. Mind you, crested geckos are a protected species in the wild, and therefore those currently for sale in the hobby are all domestically bred. The breeder I bought from is responsible and takes very good care of his geckos; my two boys just didn't have the expression of the Lilly White gene, so they were dirt cheap.
I am absolutely enamored by every little things these two little guys do. They're precious things. I'm hoping once they reach sexual maturity that they'll use my hands in their mastrubating. Sex with reptiles isn't really something the person agrees to beyond being there.

My mother paid $500 for "my" great dane, was hers at frist but she didn't want to spend time with the dog so since I got off work at 3 I went and spent time with the dog and she eventually bonded with me to where if any one or dog acts like they are going to hurt me shell attack them when I moved to another state my mother said just take her
