The Zeta Chronicles - A pro-active comic for the zoo community

It is in great honor, and humility, that I am able to present this for all of the zoo community.

It would not be possible to have done this alone, and in great thanks to everyone who has supported zooville and in general, the zoo community. With your funding, we seeked to use the funding to maintain the sites but also, to being to have tools in which, we could reach those outside our community with the realities and struggles we face.

In this journey, there is many many many talented zoos in the world, who with their talents, wished to produce this comic. A comic of which, can be handed to just about anyone and they could turn page by page, and perhaps, take walk in the shoes we face. Just maybe, we could do something to positive and up building for us but also those whom are mis-informed about us.

In great kindness, It is a honor to present Zeta Chronicles for free distribution across all mediums.

Great Job, Thank You

I don't think writing cringe fanfiction about being attracted to animals is going to put any non-zoo into the shoes of a zoo, or make them like us in any way whatsoever. They're going to laugh at the cover, laugh as they look through the pages out of morbid curiosity, and laugh at everyone involved. At best, this is an out-of-touch attempt to get others to accept us that ultimately leads nowhere at all. At worst, this is purposeful or accidental sabotaging of the community that's just going to make us an even bigger target for criticism and hate. More than we already are.

Just looking at the front page: the mediocre artwork, the obvious pandering to people who are already zoos -people who don't need to hear a message like this, and the sorely obvious lack of any creativity is just embarrassing. It's like I'm looking at a really bad christian movie cover that you'd see in the $1 movie bin at walmart, or poorly drawn Chinese propaganda that some aspiring communist revolutionary highschooler would draw. That's what this really feels like: shitty propaganda. If I got all of these negative thoughts and emotions from just the front page, imagine what someone who's vehemently against zoo's is going to feel and think. Ugh.

This is an embarrassment. This is gonna be a dumpster fire. This is going to make others hate us more. Please don't go through with this.

I can work in Photoshop and professionally work with the Russian language. I can translate this comic into Russian if anyone is interested.

Also, I could help develop the script for the continuation of this comic if help is needed (I have the appropriate skills).

Unfortunately, I don’t have the opportunity to donate bitcoins (I don’t know how to use it), so I’m looking for how I can help the forum more :)

I understand the intent of this comic, and I like it. But I don't think it will achieve the desired results, and some of the criticism is valid. Nor will it be the disaster that some think.

Consider it a first attempt, learn from your mistakes, and keep going.

Consider it a first attempt, learn from your mistakes, and keep going.

Except that it's far fron a first attempt. It's just another rehash of the same shit that has failed over and over and over and over and over and over again for the last 30 years or so. And every time it has failed, the blowback has been substantial. One definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again in hopes that this time, the result will be different. What we've got here is nothing but a minor variation on crap that has failed every time it has been attempted, and will do nothing for anyone but cause grief.

So, did anyone notice the anthro tiger, in what appears to be a depiction of English riding clothing, has tacked his mare in a western saddle? Far from the most problematic thing about this project, but details matter.

No interest in furry. Never understood the fascination. I am also morally opposed to furrism in all its forms because of the rampant sexual abuse and pedophiles.

Yeah, that‘s like saying the gay community is rampant with pedophiles and rapists. You are just spewing pure bullshit.
About the comic: I am not really convinced either. I appreciate the attempt, but the implementation is lacking. Especially the Tiger really looks malformed, dunno. Seems really off to me. Also the fact he rides on a western saddle but dressed in a dressage outfit.
I don’t know where this comic will be published, but probably won’t reach the expected numbers.

Wow. The sheer amount of vitriol in a lot of the comments here is kind of astounding.
Look, I get it if you don't think the comic is going to be a useful endeavor, but the fearmongering tactics being used in here is kind of disheartening.
Look, I get that this comic paints an unrealistic portrait and that it is furry-centric amongst the zoo community. The idealist writing may be fine, not so much for others.
I get that not everyone will like it. Calling the city Zooville? I can get why some people are wary of that.

The problem with making a comic or something similar about the topic is that putting zoophilia at the forefront of the conversation isn't going to appeal to the general public all that well. So, it ultimately just becomes something for us more than the general population. It kinda reminds me of Chick Tracts. Where it's these mini publications about a religious ideology that isn't really going to convince anyone outside of that ideology.
That's one of the difficult things we have to work at if we want to improve public image. More scholarly approaches to this could help as well! Where trying to get more studies about this topic done. To have more research done on cognitive behaviors of animals and to actually deal with some of the core ideas about consent and what it actually means in today's world. After all, we're super hypocritical about consent (overall as a civilization) when it comes to having pets, having food from farms, and many other things that are deemed "alright" because it benefits humans. Consent seems to mean much less if there's a benefit to humanity.

It's not to say that comics can't help trying to express some of the underlying aspects of zoophilia and exploring the good and bad sides of it.
No one changed society by sitting back and doing nothing. I doubt this comic would really have a huge impact positively or negatively to the overall community. People will already have their ideas about such a topic, usually. But I've seen many zoo comics in a variety of ways. There are a lot of furry zoophiles as well. I am one of those individuals. Positive or negative, they're a real part of the community. And a lot of artwork has provoked quite a bit of conversation about it. Unfortunately, there's also a very vocal group of furries who are very anti-zoo in the community, which has been a pain, but at least there are still outlets to be able to express positive relations with non-human animals through art. Though, admittedly, most of that is in some kind of pornographic feature.
It'd be nice to see more non-porn comic explorations into the subject of zoophilia like this one (furry or non-furry), regardless if you agree or disagree with this particular one.

The tiger clothing and mannerisms/the horse colorings really disoriented me. However the rest of the comic is good.

He's wearing fine clothes with a western styled on the horse. Your absolutely right it felt very weird seeing that.

Damn, my dogs assault me with their tongues frequently. Hope nobody arrests them! :p
Oh my god, what he did was so tame anyway. Ex-GF is just looking to get revenge on him. I mean showing his mother the video??? Thats some psycho bitch shit.

  • Wow
Reactions: IHO
This is probably the most cursed thing I seen 😱. The dog eyes are dots.

I hope it continues though
