Shed feather as a… sounding, rod?

As if being on this website is legal, most of us are already committing several crimes just being here XD

Yeah, this is a pretty common part of such laws. At first glance it might seem weird, what's the harm in collecting fallen feathers? But it's all part of the protection of these birds from unscrupulous actors so they can't try and hide behind "but we just found them".

That being said, picking up a single feather from the forest to keep in your home is something I think many people do.

Don't know what the law in the US is, but where I'm from there is nothing illegal about being on this site. Having sex with animals is illegal, watching people do it and talking about it is not.

Each place has its own odd laws.

Here about any bird is protected except hunting species, but feathers are not off limits.

The odd thing is some birds you can shot, but you can not own or even care for.
Happened to a man in an small town who raised? or befriended? a raven who was free and just followed him everywhere.
He hit the news as he got in some serious problems just for that.

Probably. There was a case during Reagan's years of a woman who sent several hand made dream catchers to the White House as a gift. Some sharpeyed person noticed a feather on one that was from a endangered species. She was arrested. Yes, the feathers were found, but how do you tell?

She was fined a dollar amount, and the fine was then suspended, I believe. But she still had a felony on her record.

The dreamcatchers were incinerated.

In Texas at least, porn of animals is outlawed under the label of “sexual conduct”, organizing meetups with the intent of engaging in bestiality is also illegal, both happen on this site quite often.
 
Ravens are local birds....they dont go far season to season....That makes disturbing a population's numbers easy. That said, feeding a Raven is asking for trouble....once they know youre a sucker with food you cant chase them off with a stick.

Texas.....Laws in Texas reflect a lot of Blue-nosery....they just passed a new one today....up to a hundred g Bounty for the hide of an abortion doc prescribing RU486 or similar drugs. But as a favorite movie villain said...."In Texas, only Texans can rob Banks!"

Btw...so you know. They DO enforce Bestiality laws in Texas. There was a bust involving four people, at least, about five years ago. I knew two of them from BF.

The wording in the original language is quite specific in this case, it does not reflect viewing such materials.

That said, there are other laws prohibiting the production and distribution of pornography involving animals, but they are buried somewhere outside of the animal protection act and I don't know the exact wording.

Almost all states prohibit the making and sale of such porn. Partially the reasoning is money....no one will pay taxes and implicate himself, but tax evasion is easy to prove.

As so often with morality laws it turns out legalization and regulation would be beneficial to everyone over a blanket ban. Who'd a thunk.

I think a feather is never going to be as sanitary as a stainless steel too though, no matter what you do. It could even probably leave splinters behind.
