Heyya, so I joined recently and have been thinking about this for a few years or so, but I've never been able to come to a conclusion, so I figured I'd ask ya'll (sorry if there's some posts similar to this already, saw a few but they didn't fully line up).
Anywho,
Is there any way to figure out if I actually like zoo stuff irl?
I don't have any pets that are suitable to figure this out with, and based on what I've read, I doubt there's any good way to without getting one (not enough time or cash for that sadly, and I also don't want that to be the only reason I get the pet :<). But irregardless, figured I'd shoot my shot.

Yeah, honestly, I think the only way to know for sure is to try it out, but you can always get a pretty good guess just by watching irl zoo content and seeing how you feel about it.

If you’re really into zoo vids like you think about it a lot throughout the day. I would say it’s a less chance you’ll not like it. If you really enjoying watching this stuff you’ll probably enjoy it irl. It’s up to you though. No one knows you better than you

If you’re trying to figure out if this your thing but your wallet’s screaming “absolutely not,” don’t stress. Start with the free stuff, your imagination, some spicy stories, maybe a little research (wink). If your brain’s lighting up like a disco ball and your body’s co-signing, that’s a clue. You don’t need to committ to the responsibilities of owning a pet, try a budget friendly toy or plushie if you’re feeling experimental. Sometimes you gotta mentally test drive before you park it in the garage.

One tip is to analyse how much time you think about it and how intense it is for you

That's honestly really fair, and tbh I never thought about getting a plushie to help see, quite an interesting thought. I'll see what happens >w>
