Doubt any zoo association…this film was made in the mid 1970’s, when pornography wasn’t even legalized in Italy, so I doubt they were even hinting at zoo sex . remember people were still horrified about the anal sex insinuations in the ‘Last tango in Paris’ film made in 1973. Actually it is the dream sequence in the middle of the film. The girl with the dog is Eleonora Giorgi who plays the friend of Ornella Muti in the film.
