No....they gave Prometheus a Firehose for that. And unless youre going to sit up all the time it is lit, never use candles as tree lights.no

Yes growing up in the UK our tree always had real lit candles, in clip onto the branches holders. Cant see what the problem could be ?

Fire hazards are such fun. Like the Turkey Fryers that keep our fire departments hopping this time of year. And yes, my German SIL does this occasionally....with the water bucket close by. Trees come in varying degrees of hours-after-Cutting here. I usually cut my own. To clarify....The longer since they were cut, the drier they are.....

Not a friend of killing trees for four weeks of semi-festive events.
As such I just throw some accessories on my own 24m tree in front of one building. That's enough. It stays alive another 50 years.
But yea, I cut off trees quite regularly, if they're ill - for making firewood.
