Someones single post got probably eradicated, as the counter was off again.
Little correction and well it goes. ?

Morning floofers (or good night for those which are some hours shifted into the past). (y)

Ate too much yesterday evening. Two pre-made salads with noodles and modifications. Added hard-boiled cut eggs, a better self-made dressing and smoked salmon salad with egg, bacon in an Italian sauce. Then around 1,1 pounds of semolina pudding with cinnamon, a few pieces of orangepiece filled dark chocolate and that's about it.

A good once-in-24h-meal.

To those that sometimes eat unhealthy food.
That is not the end of the world. Just eat oatmeal and other types of food that draws out the bad cholesterol and make sure you do an extra workout to burn the excess calories.
A fitness watch is an easy to use accessory to aid in keeping track.

We got some fresh snow during the night, and I was the first skiier on fresh tracks on the 10 km track early in the morning. Still dark outside, branches full of snow, shadows between the light poles, it was like skiing in a fairytale winter landscape.

Modern smart watches with open source health surveillance / "fitness" apps are quite a precise thing. Some of the a bit older variants (2020 - 22) had already very precise blood oxygen level and pulse sensors, while not eating too much battery by their usage.

Nowadays they are quite cheap to get and allow tracking of health factors almost as precise as medical devices (5-8% deviation from what private users cross-checked). That's a good way to keep tracking them without adding annoying uncomfortable in-between checkups.

Oh, I should have been more precise. It was cross country skiing. A 10 km slope for alpine skiing would have required a helicopter as I don't know of any ski resorts in my proximity that have a height difference enough to make a 10 km slope.

Ahh, understandable. The fox uses snowboards. As such it is not in my usual thought processes that with skiers you can actually move quite efficiently "sideways" thanks to the rods and propelling usage of the ski.

True, that makes it easier without a lift or quad pulling one back. With a snowboard you might curse the forest god if you have to move just 2 km sideways without any propellant helpers, hah. :ROFLMAO: That's really slow and really annoying. Even faster to unbind them and carry the board.

Cross Country skis are something completely different from alpine skis. Built for "sideways" skiing and not something I would recommend for anyone to use in the slopes (even if I have done it myself, but I am an amazing skiier).
For slopes I have both snowboards and skis. Less snowboarding post pack increase of human cubs, it is quite the hassle to manhandle small humans when you are on a snowboard.
For offpist I prefer the board, I also prefer the board in the park, and naturally I don't use my offpist board in the park and vice versa.
One board to rule the pist, one board to park jump, one board to leave the pist and among the trees gliding.

Oh, something new learned today. (y) Seems like their surface, elasticity and and carving abilities differ from what the search engine tells me.

I see, you're enjoying wintersports a lot - not many I know use both skiers and snowboards. But we don't have any possibility to drive them just in our areas, as well. It's very rare that there is enough snow on some usually lawn-surface hills for kids to even enjoy sledding, not to talk about the hassle without lifts and comparable to board down a slope which is maybe 300 meters long, just to walk it up again. :ROFLMAO:

I did snowboard on travels quite often, as well visited Swiss and Austria often for the better possibilities, long slopes and multiple lifts. One can go up the mountain by 2-4 lifts one after another and - if the route is known - board down until reaching the base station for around 30-45 minutes. But it takes again around 30-60 minutes to get up via lifts.

The last 13 years I had not much possibility due to being the only one caring for my companion. (I didn't even have much possibility to stay in hospital and left it after not even 24 hours after reattaching of a body part, lol).

The boots are also completely different where the cross country ski boots look like running shoes in comparison.

That I do! Finding me at an indoors or outdoors ice skating place during the winter (all year around in the indoors cases) is not unusual. So not just skis and boards.
