Unfortunately not without limitations. It is getting better though. After agitating it yesterday, it didn't take too long for it to get back to where it was. I might shoot for a quarter to half a mile walk tomorrow with the girls to see how I feel afterwards. They definitely need to have their long walks again.

Don’t push your self to much do what you can do comfortably and slowly work your way back up if you think you can do a longer walk tomorrow then go for it but please don’t hurt yourself I hope your feeling better by tomorrow

Well, I have been doing more laps in the yard to try and compensate for some of their exercise, but for my newfie gal that exercise is very important for her health. But if I start feeling the pain in my ankle I'll just cut the walk short, turn around, and go home. There'd be no sense in trying to push it too hard and being out of commission for another 3 or 4 days.

I definitely get it my Saint girl needs her exercise too, the two breeds are actually very similar I did a lot of research on the two breeds before I get my girl and they are very similar, my girl definitely likes her walks I actually should be walking her more then I do I normally do a mile long walk everyday but I’ve been being lazy recently plus the fact that where I live it’s already down to about 25°f and I’m only doing about half of our usual walk so I’m going to start longer walks again with my girl tomorrow

@FloofyNewfie : Hopefully the leg continues to get better - it's surely a hassle if your all-day activities including walks are (almost) painful, no need for that. ❤️ But your girls will be fine, I am sure of it.

@Mare Lover 1975 : Which one (or which language)?
There are quite a few threads in the non-English areas which I either translated to read them or could read myself, some are quite the mess.

Sometimes there's the feeling that people believe nobody is going to check their language-specific sub forums which (for native understanding people) implicitly read like something different than a translator would "quite harmless" reflect. But on the other hand there's already lots of work managing the English areas, which is absolutely understandable.

@Saint Bernard kisses : Use a bicycle? :gsd_wink: First thing I teach dogs I own or care for: learn to walk on a bicycle without pulling too much (aside from if I want them to pull). Easy to wear them out in just half an hour. Even easier if they can run free and I can use the motor.

I actually didn't translate the whole thread, just the guy's posts. Dude was definitely prostituting his female dog, and doG knows for how long? But a ban was definitely in order for him.

I try to aim for a mile a day out on the neighborhood sidewalks. Plus an additional 4 150-200 step walks around the yard. So that equates to about a little under a mile and a half of walking per day. I don't want to push my newfie girl too hard though, as she's definitely not getting any younger unfortunately. St. Bernards and newfies are a lot alike though... mainly due to their size and the fact that they both originate from mastiffs and Molosser-type dogs. Although they were bred to do differing things and hail from differing countries of origin, but they have fairly similar ancestral DNA.

Very rarely having a headache, but today there's like a flail waving around in my head.
The pain is no problem, I'm just used to such (thanks, life - thanks, accidents), but the limitation of thought processing is a problem.

Probably weather-related due to pressure changes. Had the "knack" in my ears multiple times the last days by switching between in-door heated area and outdoor freezing temperatures.

Definitely enjoy her youthful years while you can, make every moment count for something. It really doesn't feel that long ago that my girl was a spring chicken herself. Years sure do fly by when you're having fun. If only there was a way to quintuple/sextuple their lifespans. If only...

Ah, why don't I wonder about this.. Danish and dutch (which are both Germanic-Norsk languages) are both related to a sort of "animal brothel allowance" or at least "ignorance". Including sex-tourism, but that's something from long ago, probably fixed by laws since the 2000s. ?‍♂️

Some older age bestialists (no, not zoophiles, they don't "love the animal" if they visit such places..) are still living in this mindset, it seems. ?‍♂️

Grr. Another topic, please. Even if I don't clearly state actual situations of myself and just threw a few hints (or at least don't like to, as at the end each one has to live with their own situation and bear with it), an unspecific day was not too long ago. Thank you.. (No, don't "sorry", it's life. I just want my motivation back, that's all.)
