Not exactly, my previous generations were "Boers" cause they are farmers but they mingled with some English speaking Dutch people so eventually we just Dutch descent but speak English.

Scandinavian languages would be Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and a bunch of minority languages with just a couple of thousands of speakers.
For me, I speak both Norwegian and Swedish, depending on situation, but they are so similar so a foreigner would have trouble telling them apart.
With relatives I either speak Norwegian, English, French or Vietnamese.

Oh wow, lovely. SA has 11 official languages but you're lucky to meet someone who can even speak 3 of those.

I can speak abit of Afrikaans but Im not fluent.
