Perhaps it's not as controversial as pineapple on pizza? I'll be curious what the results end up being. I know I don't like it, but back in my college years one of our regular partying buddies liked it and pretty much everyone in the group as (light heartedly) making fun of him for it. Lol

Quite often I eat pineapple on pizza, on toasts, with mozzarella or fresh onions as a cover, ham, tomatoes and so on.
But I don't like it in many fruit / vegetable pan dishes.
And never got why it would be weird or hated to add a tropical fruit to a mediterranean, mostly vegetable based poor people dish like pizza. If people wanted, they could even add banana slices and coconut pieces with garlic-seasoned ham. Their decision.
It's ways weirder to see pasta, beef stripes or egg (whole / fried ones) on a pizza than a fruit. And don't start to talk about ketchup or mayonnaise in any amounts on a pizza. That's pure blasphemy. Ketchup is no replacement for mashed or dried tomatoes. It's a sugar mixed waste product.
But I'll pass on high-fat high-carbohydrate chips.
