Over 10°C seems like acceptable temperatures for some growth, but < 100 days per year is clearly a low amount.

Germany has around 230 to 260 days of vegetative period. Might even be higher due to temperatures rising.

Just the definition of what a boreal forest is, if it would be warmer and have a longer growth period, it would not be in the boreal zone.
