Count to ∞!

I wonder just how many 69s we've gone through? Someone good at math will need to answer this. Lol
69 appears once every 100 counts, => 138,000 ÷ 100 = 1,380.
690 appears once every 1000 counts, => 138,000 ÷ 1000 = 138, but it appears 10 times in a row,=> 138 × 10 = 1,380.
6,900 appear once every 10,000 counts, => 138,000 ÷ 10,000 = 13,8, 13 as we have not had 146900 yet, but it appears 100 times in a row, => 13 × 100 = 1300. Edit: forgot the first 6,900, => 14 × 100 = 1400.
69,000 appears once every 100,000 counts, = 1, but it appears 1,000 times in a row, = 1,000.

1,380 + 1,380 + 1,300 1,400 + 1,000 = 5,060 5,160 times have "69" appeared so far.

I tried to cheat earlier and searched for "how many consecutive times does 69 appear in 13,800?" but unfortunately I couldn't find much. It kept trying to give me the number of 69s in the first 10,000 digits of pi... which is not what I had asked for! Lol

I started with making an equation in Excel, but then realized that I just needed to figure out how often they occured, way easier than building a mathematical model in Excel.

Dont you have to account for the times where they overlap? For example, you have already accounted for a 69 when doing a number such as 16969, when you did 1 69 every 100. So you would have to subtract that one from the overall count when you accounted for the consecutive 69s throughout 16900-16999
That is very much correct. I have only calculated how many times a 9 follows a 6 up until 138,000.

But I can calculate how many that are 69's and disregarding when 69 appears multiple times if you want?
