As mentioned by others, it would be dismemberment before the fact. Wolves are not mantids to mate and then kill their mate. If they mate, it is because they are bonded with their partner. The issue is that wild wolves are not going to see humans as potential mates. They are going to see you as an unfamiliar and potentially threatening creature intruding on their territory. They will try to avoid you, and if that fails, they will kill you.

The problem is they DON'T trust you. Why would they trust some random intruder on their territory? As I said wolves will typically try to avoid humans if at all possible, but if you continue to force encounters with them they will likely attack you in what they see as self-defense.

I doubt even a large wolf would be that big down there. Growing up I had a friend who had a male wolf hybrid. He made it to about 2-3 before being nutted and I don't recall him being all that impressive. Basically just moderate dog sized junk.

Mythology....apparently not just for breakfast these days. North American Greys have a different rep than Europeans, but remember that the tales surrounding those were mostly myth. Cutting a Troika horse loose when the wolves came ravening across the steppe, or worse, tossing a baby out of the sleigh...Those things might have happened ONCE. But not every day. That doesnt mean you can get a live, Wild Wolf to leave its pack behavior behind and eat from your hand til shes belly up and ready to play....fairy stories are for nurseries.
There are major differences in 'Tame' and "Domesticated". You can tame a wolf, I suppose, if you can catch a live one, but it will likely involved food and water deprivation, OR a very long time. They are not stupid, have nothing to gain from any willing association with a human, and are cooperative pack creatures. Anyone who gets to the point of actually taming one had better be prepared to BE the pack....with all that requires, including pissing on every tree, shrub, and the doorjambs in your home. It aint for most of us.
Your right maybe not "modern" humans they would not be approachable since humanity prefers to exploit for their own gain.

Shep/husky cross. Feet aren't big enough, nor is its skull broad enough, and wolves of NO subspecies are that mature at that size. That critter might go 75 pounds on a good day. I have that full video too. Its only 25-30 years old. But regardless, its a dog.

We have a bunch of wolves around here occasionally that come in migrate through my farm but only once in awhile Gilmore's and I know this is because the coyotes disappear in my mares actually act very defensive of the other animals and the donkeys tend to stick very close to each other at night and most of the herd tends to prefer the barn but usually if I know they're in the area I look for them from my third floor of my house and they're very beautiful they're very large definitely larger then any pitbull or bigger dog I've seen and the local pack is actually led by a matriarch here the alpha here is a female which I thought was very gorgeous but honestly like you said it's highly not possible but I do know there are people who raise wolves and have a lot to do with their growth so maybe it is possible but like dolphins it would be very hard to pull off because only handful people in the community of Animal Care do that and be incredibly hard to pull off without getting caught almost impossible to record without being immediately recognized
