That's ok, he just look very young for you to have purchased him at that size.
8 weeks is Ok, I just prefer a bit older to eliminate the risk of separation anxiety, but if they are well socialised and outgoing, that is less of an issue. Part of the problem comes if they go from having brothers and sisters to play with, to being left all day by yourself when your new human goes to work. But no doubt your selecting people that would be there for the puppy as well, at least till they were a bit older.
Puppy teeth are murder on anything sensitive like nipples, but moving up departure aids mum but only at the potential cost of the pups, so you must do what you think is right weighing things up. But you could always provide a bit of separation to prevent constant requests for milkshakes without a complete separation via the use of a puppy pen or gated doorway.
That all sounds very good, do you also provide diet sheets for their new family explaining what food to give and appropriate quanities or changes in diet as they mature and their body requires different things?
We as registered breeders also offer a return policy, if you can't take care of the dog for whatever reason, bring them back and we will find them a new home, rather than them ever going anywhere near a pound/shelter. Thus every dog we bring into the world, we ensure always is wanted and has a home, so as not to add to the over burdened shelter system.
Good luck with find all the pups the very best of homes.
