For me, the pull toward dogs started early, long before I even knew what terms like “zoo” meant. Growing up, I was obsessed with dogs—always begging my parents for one, volunteering to walk neighbors’ pups, and soaking up every moment I could spend with animals. We got a Pitbull when I was a teenager, and that dog changed everything. He wasn’t just a pet; he was my confidant, my shadow, and the first being who showed me what unconditional love feels like. That bond planted a seed, showing me how dogs could be more than just companions they could be family, protectors, and a source of deep emotional connection. I didn’t have the words for it back then, but that experience shaped my lifelong passion for dogs.
