Kind of surprised the political affiliations here are so even. I'm part of the Transhumanist Party, so technically independent?

I consider myself Libertarian. i find the 2-party system offensive -- its not a black white or grey situation. there is a whole rainbow of political affiliations dammit
 
Politics don't mean much when capitalism ruins everything, but as long as the system stands, a vote is a vote. Support your own community, not politicians.
 
Mostly farther right libertarian / used to be an ANcap but now more so just right leaning conservative aside from social services aspect as back in Japan we have good healthcare /public services so it can be done

I am also not exactly rich, so why would I vote for a party that believes corporations are people, and whose tax laws benefit only the upper 3% of the electorate, on top of denying health care to half of the population, so pharmaceutical and medical companies can keep raking in Trillions in profits every year?

I think the political parties are one of the biggest problems with politics. If there were no parties then people would have to actually pay attention and learn about the people they vote for. People wouldn’t blindly devote themselves to the party that their friends and family align with. Maybe people would stop thinking on the lines that someone from the other party is automatically stupid and anything they do or say is automatically wrong. Similarly, anyone from their chosen party can do no wrong. I think if we dont automatically categorize people or ideas as liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, people will start to see that we agree on more than we think and you won’t get all this far right and especially this far left nonsense that we’ve got going on. And for the record, the last 20 years I’ve aligned slightly more with the left on issues. That being said, over the past few years the left have lost their minds, so I don’t even know what to think at this point.

No doubt about it, the whole system is a scam from front to back, the corporate overlords and wealthy elite (sometimes one and the same) control the whole system. I don't think they ever imagined it would work out so perfectly for them. Everything we buy comes back to them somehow. The credit bureaus, the banks, multinational corporations, oil, war, all of it. Buy a house to gain equity, for what reason, just to raise your credit score so that you can borrow more money and get stuck further into the scam. It's so frustrating, but there is no way to fix it, just have to deal with it.

I don't vote. The game is rigged. You get shit or shit.

If you want results then you do things YOUR way. Damn what anyone complains about. If you think you can do things better then lead by example. Don't have to be rallying large mobs. Just find a way to affect others somehow.

Leaders lead by example. Not by rank and title. That's why I don't vote. The recruit that challenges the drill sergent is who gets respected. Provided they do it honestly and their logic adds up.
