Well, I have read all over the place "use a VPN! use a VPN!"
And while I understand the concept of a VPN from a technical point, I have some issues understanding "why" I should trust a VPN more then my ISP.
A ISP gets money, gives you access to the internet and claim that they respect your privacy.
A VPN gets money, gives you access to the internet and claim that they respect your privacy.
I know that a VPN "encrypts" the traffic and will route it through different places to obfuscate it a bit, but in the end, it is basically the same as "just" using the ISP directly.
Eitherway you need to trust an organization that you cannot directly control.
So I don't get what the actual difference is?
If I use them, they will have my persoal info and my browsing info, so it comes down to that same end result, right?
I just don't get it ....
