Vintage Erotic Zoo Illustrations and Art

This pretty niche (and I'm not sure whether it belong in the Porn section or not). Just wondering if anyone else here is interested in pre-photographic depictions of bestiality and zoophilia. Anything from high art to porn. Illustrations, paintings, sculpture. The Victorian period being a particular sweet spot, for me anyway. But feel free to share across periods/cultures. (EDIT Have opened the thread up to all periods)

Very nice art, but I've seen some of these images before without the dog added. Did you make the additions yourself, or is this the way you found them?

I’m interested and have tried to research the subject. You’ve produced more than I was ever able to find. Also tried to find stories without much success. Thanks for posting.

Some of those illos were Victorian, possibly Beardsley's for an edition of "Gamiani". The one with the Donkey on the Woman's Bed is an illo from "The Golden Ass", about a man who was turned into a Jack. The little carving is a shunka Netsuke, probably 20th century. Kinda cute tho. There is much more in similar veins out there. Greek Mythology, and other myth cycles arr particularly full. Finnish myth and origin stories have a good bit of story telling about Heros who were half-Bear, and Japan's Ainu have such stories as well. Celtic lore includes some bestiality, American Native stories have some. Its out there, if you look for it.

Huh. No, this was how I found them. Just searching "Franz von Bayros". Though if the bulldog is a later addition, they are still others with more pets that are def there in the originals.

Thanks for the links. I've always enjoyed the works, but never knew who the artist was.

Id forgotten von Bayros' name...This is the most of his work Ive seen in one place. With a number of those artists, one can see other artists they influenced. Jeffrey Jones, Barry Smith, Frank Brunner, Michael Kaluta....Roger Dean as well. Milo Manara is still going strong, along with a few others....but most of these folk were dead or irrelevant after WWII, and were rediscovered in the early 70s.
Thanks....Ill be exploring that site much more
