Eh, sorta. But that part was worded poorly: "transitioned to a different gender" isn't quite accurate. There is no problem with our gender, it's a persons sex that we are at odds with. We we're always the gender we feel, although some don't fully realize it, or suppress it, or just hide it. It's not changing.So in simple terms, a trans person is anyone who was assigned a gender based off their genitals at birth, then later transitioned to a different gender. (ie, a trans man is someone who was assigned female at birth but now identifies/transitioned to being a man)
But to play devils advocate, gender IS psychological and social construct. So, under some circumstances, we are changing our gender as a social issue. As in, presenting our "true selves" in the world and how we view our gender should be (varies from person to person).
