Southflorida´s Security Advice and Tips (Communication/Pre-Meeting/Meeting)

It´s a great source of informations that will help you stay safe if you decide to meet up with other zoos in the real world....

QUOTE (@ southflorida )

1. NEVER COMMUNICATE OUTSIDE OF THE FORUM PM SYSTEM:
by using other forms of communication such as personal messengers - personal email - phones - you are
leaving a trail to your identity - MANY of these methods are EASILY traced back to you by anyone who is
computer savvy but they are DEFINETLY traceable by law enforcement.

2. NEVER USE YOUR REAL NAME:

use your forum name - or use a nickname that is not associated with your real life identity like reds or
bud or princess - whatever but do NOT use your real name EVER - even a first name can help identify you -
and do NOT use any name in which you use on other internet sites or anywhere else in life - the name you
use should be exclusive to zoo life only

3. CHECK THE POSTING HISTORY OF ANYONE THAT YOU ARE COMMUNICATING WITH:

if you click on a users name you will find an option of "FIND ALL POST BY THIS MEMBER" - review ALL of
their posting history and see if they are established - if they are consistent - if they are stable -
and any information they are asking or telling is what they have stated previously - NEVER communicate
with someone who has never made a post on the open forum no matter what they say or how long they have
been registered - NEVER communicate with someone who is sloppy about their personal identity - if they
are willing to expose themselves then they are certainly willing to expose you

4. DO NOT DISCUSS ZOO PRIOR TO MEETING:

even if they have homemade material on the forum - EVEN IF YOU ARE REPLYING TO THEIR AD - be sure to
ALWAYS be vague in your initial correspondence no matter who initiates the conversation - just say
something like I have read your posting history and I am interested in getting to know you - if they
respond with any kind of zoo sex proposals continue to be vague - you can continue to build correspondence
without committing to direct talk of zoo sexual matters - if they are asking for experience just continue
to be vague "I don't discuss my sexual life with strangers but I am interested in getting to know you" -
do not let someone else's persistence bait you into disclosure of your experiences or desires - the desire
to engage in zoo activities will be used against you by police as "intent" - you can illustrate your desires
and willingness without disclosure - use the tools in front of you - on a second reply use BOLD AND SIZE AND
CAPS tools to bring home your point without disclosing:
I DO NOT DISCUSS MY SEX LIFE WITH STRANGERS BUT I AM VERY VERY INTERESTED IN GETTING TO KNOW YOU"
there is always a way of saying things without saying them! if they get persistent then tell them you no
longer have interest and block them

5. NO SEX ON FIRST MEETING EVER:

NEVER EVER plan a sexual meeting on the first meet - no human/animal sex and no human/human sex either -
and NEVER commit to sex where money or favors are involved - that is now prostitution whether you are on
the receiving or giving end - DO NOT HAVE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT SEX ON THE FIRST MEETING - there are many
places on the planet that you can go outside of BF to have anonymous sex hookups or first meet sex hookups -
there is no reason why it should be affiliated with your zoo identity on a first time meet - if your date
violates the rule and brings up sex end the meet immediately - be wary of instant gratification threads
or post like "let's meet Tuesday" - if someone is willing to ignore all safety procedures or risk their
animal with instant hookups then it is a bad situation -

6. PUBLIC MEETING ONLY:

you should ONLY meet in a public BUSINESS for a FIRST meet - like a coffee shop - there should be other
people there - remember you are not there to discuss sex of any kind so a public place is not going to
be a hindrance to conversation - do not do it anywhere where you will be alone or isolated like a remote
public park or parking lots - make sure that other people will be about - never ever meet at your house -
and do NOT meet at someone elses house - what does it say if they are willing to reveal their residence
to a stranger?

7. NO ANIMALS EVER ON FIRST MEET:

not even at a busy dog park - law enforcement is often willing to fabricate facts in sting operations -
NEVER involve your animal - often they will KILL your animal if you are convicted of a zoo crime - if
someone else is willing to take that risk then they should be avoided in the first place - law enforcement
also has access to animals that they can use as bait - they have police dogs and horses - NEVER EVER MEET
FOR A FIRST TIME MEET WHERE ANIMALS ARE INVOLVED

8. NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL:

even nonmedical marijuana is still illegal almost everywhere - do NOT meet to party with someone - and
do NOT chance vulnerability by being intoxicated - do not engage in anything illegal or anything that
may compromise your judgment

9. TRANSPORTATION:

do everything you can not to expose your transportation - vehicles has license plates which can be used
to track your identity - take public transportation - ride a bike - take a cab or uber - or at minimal
park a few blocks away and walk to the destination - your vehicle tag is like wearing a tag with your
name and address on it....

10. EVEN THE ODDS:

a meeting should be on even terms - who is going to reveal who they are first when you arrive to the
meeting? do you have self identifying photos on the forum and they do not - if so then suggest what
might be fair is that they send a pic to a one time disposable email address (do not reply from that
email address - reply back on the forum messenger system) - maybe you will agree to both wear the same
style and color shirt "we will both wear a green t-shirt" - or when we enter we will both have a seat
and turn our napkins sideways - explain to them that honesty is essential and that if they show up in
a blue t-shirt and then decide to approach that it is still breaking the circle of trust and the meet
is over - whatever method you decide on it should be a level playing ground and if they don't honor it
then they are not trustworthy -

11. TELL A FRIEND:

tell a close friend that you are meeting on a blind date with location and time - ask them to call or
text you every half hour to check on you - you can also use this as an out if you feel uncomfortable
- if you do not have a close friend that you can confide in then at minimal leave a note at your own
residence stating that you are going on a blind date with time and location and tell your blind date
that you have done so - nearly every place has a camera or one close by that authorities can use if
you are in danger and someone discovers your note

12: GUT CHECK:

if it seems to good to be true it is - trust your gut feelings - if something doesn't feel right then
cancel the meet - if you are already at the meet and something doesn't feel right then explain to your
date that you are not feeling safe and ask them to stay at the meeting place and allow you a buffer
time to leave - if they refuse then tell them that you are excusing yourself to call a cab or uber to
take you home and then do it at a distance so they cant hear your destination - you can always have the
ride drop you off 2 blocks away at the car or cheaper public transportation - in extreme cases if you
feel in immediate DANGER then stand up and announce to the entire establishment that you feel unsafe
and need an escort

13: NO SHOWS:

ALWAYS make sure that you have some extra time and a few extra dollars when meeting - if someone is
a no show you should find an alternative way home - do not go directly to your car - get a cab or uber -
you should make a pit stop in a crowded place to make sure that you are not being followed - a shopping
mall where you can leave out of a different entrance than you entered is ideal - then you should terminate
all communication immediately - do not respond to any message they may have sent - do not confront them -
do not argue with them - block them in your forum messenger immediately - if they try to contact you on the
public boards do not respond but ask a mod for assistance - a million in one chances are that they do not
have a legit reason for a no show - and if they do it is not worth your compromise of safety -

===> WE UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS HARD TO FIND ANY KIND OF HOOKUP BUT DONT LET THAT LEAD YOU BLINDLY - IF
YOU HAVE A RUN IN WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT - A HATER OR A STALKER - IT WILL AFFECT THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
SEVERLY - SAFETY ALWAYS FIRST !!!

You can add your own tips. Thanks, and Good Luck!

Thanks for this. This is why we've never met anyone else. I have no doubt they are around, couples we could probably be friends with. But it is unlikely we will ever meet them. Too much risk.

When meeting someone (via the personals section of a zoo website), even if one follows SouthFlorida's security tips, how does one know that the person they are going to meet is legitimate?

Which is why, for dating purposes, it seems the only safe option is to date someone using a regular dating website and hope they are zoo (or tolerant of zoo).

There are also far more options (in terms of people available) on regular dating websites than on zoo websites. The problem is that on regular dating websites, people hide the fact that they are zoo, so there's no way to know if they are zoo.

You don´t, only your experience can tell you, and those strategies and check systems you have..And you have to learn to make choices
that you can live with.

It's really all logic but... This sounds as guys here want to kill you..

Maybe our guys are not killers, but don’t be super-surprised... there´s unscrupulous and even dangerous folks out there. Stalkers,
pimps etc. and what about those who wear a badge and carry the potential for public scorn and a court date with an unforgiving
judge? Like it or not, we are not living in a perfect world... I think Southflorida just wanted to tell don´t be careless, it can lead to
some very serious consequences if you meet the wrong people. I think some of us here understand that.

There are ways to get to know people here well enough to chance a Coffee meet. I've met ten folks from the community, albeit from B/F....and there are others I will eventually meet. Of the ten, two are deceased; one of those was the Love of my life, for five glorious years; the others are still friends, and several of those have been MORE than friends....Southie's advice is good solid advice for ANYone on the date scene these days. There's no fool-proof way....fools get better at being fools every day. But the process is still sound. Any of the messenger programs out there allow for longer conversations with some privacy for becoming acquainted. If you should meet someone in the chat, or attract some attention here in the forum....TAKE THE TIME to learn who the person is, and let them do the same with you. After some time, if you're still interested in a meet...do it in a public place....Starbucks works quite well. But you will not find anyone by sitting and waiting for that someone to find YOU...there are after all, an Awful lot of "yous" out there.

Look at it this way....one is luck...two is coincidence, but when you meet TEN, that's a pattern. The world doesn't have to be a hard place to live.

Some of these tips are great and worth reading others are the ramblings of someone over thinking it and being paranoid. One the cops wont kill your dog if your convicted of beastiality it will go to a new owner, the cops do, do stings for beastiality but it's a bottom of the list issue these days so it is very very rare. The cops are less an issue then a phony person.

The cops won't do anything to your animals except turn them over to the SPCA etc. The rescue has a lot of animals needing homes so there's no need to take the legal risk of releasing a known human fucker on the public. They already euthanize "dangerous" animals like Pit Bulls automatically and they see this as no different. They'll just slide a safe cute breed into adoption lineup and move on.

Some very good advice. Back in the days of the BBS (Bulletin Board System).....I'm really dating myself.....I use to always leave as much information about someone I was meeting in case I disappeared. Better safe than sorry.

The only negative of 2 overly caution people is that with both parties beating around the bush and not giving any information, there can be missed opportunities. Someone at some point needs to bring up the subject or you can just talk about the weather all day.

Are there any signs from the other person that would categorically prove they're not undercover law enforcement? I'm in the UK so I don't know if laws would be different but if they sent you a zoo pic, would that be entrapment if they were police etc? Or if they discussed in detail the things they enjoyed and wanted to do. Obviously this wouldn't weed out the crazies but would take some of the risk away.

I'm sure each country is different but it seems like the government can do almost anything to try to get someone to reveal themselves short of planting evidence.

I know in the USA, the FBI set up web sites with child pornography (honey pots) and then just waited to see who would view the site, download pics and movies, etc and then would go after the people for having visited the site. So, government breaking the law displaying child pornography and not getting in trouble to catch people then viewing the material and those people do get into trouble.

Governments seem to justify breaking any law to catch other law breakers and "make society a better place".

Who was SouthFlorida?
Was a mod at B/F. Depending on how you felt about rules, he was either a great guy, or the second or third biggest bastard in the World. Personally, he was and is a good friend. Funny tho....the same people who think he was a dick have a remarkably large percentage of boot-ees from the Forum among them. Reminds me of Elite, where for months there was nothing talked about but how rotten Certain parties at B/F treated people. And funny too, that that same group is more than willing to steal stuff that is plainly not theirs. Thats the primary complaint about B/F....no respect for intellectual property( which was true, but that's no excuse to return the favor).

Regarding meets....if you don't have the courage to GO, it doesn't matter who's waiting for you. Most of you can't get that up, so you probably should quit whining about it.

If you're contacting people about having sex, no, there's no way to know whether it's a sting operation. If you're just chatting with people and you're meeting them to talk, they won't have anything on you, so it'll be fine.

I imagine that most police are more concerned about catching flagrant criminals than they are about catching genuinely good people.

Don't hold your breath on that, kid. At least half a dozen people were busted out of Beast Forum by a Virginia Cop with nothing better to do. Almost all of these were oriented towards monetary gain from video sales, but even so...there can't be a lot of money in it for amateurs, but that won't stop an easy case being made.
