This is a Brit Steamer, the SS Alum Chine, which exploded with 360 tons of Dynamite aboard, transhipping to Panama for ongoing canal construction in 1913. It was in Baltimore's Curtis Bay at the time, and broke windows in Aberdeen, Md 25 miles away. Debris was scattered over two miles, and its said the concussion was felt 90 miles away in Philly and Atlantic City. At 10 am, smoke was spotted in a hold. The crew tried to flee.
