Nice design. Houbigant is still big in the states. I wonder if knowing you're wearing $600 perfume makes it smell nicer, like a mental effect.

Had a sweetie who liked "Flower Bomb" and she seemed much more Confident when she wore it....but her other scent was a thing from the late sixties called "Love's Babysoft"....I won't even TRY to describe the effect of that one, except that when I brought her a bottle, even though it was sealed and the room was very dark, she knew what it was.....<grinn>

I love old ads! My Dad had some in poster size in his garage/man cave.

lol...Yepper...most of tjose advertizers made posters for rail stations and such....the platform on a NY, NH, and Hartford might have Broadway, Coke, Restaurant, and auto ads in oversized posters all along the train length as it would sit in the station. Maybe every fifty feet, an education all by itself.

And they reassembled it with the instructions upside down. Unnoticed for 90 years or so, til they did some restoration. Iron bolts and copper plates create a kind of battery. The bolt holes enlarged to a point where a good storm might have stripped the Lady

Typically, the holdup was the base. Like the Washington monument, it took awhile to raise the funds to build it.
