And they reassembled it with the instructions upside down. Unnoticed for 90 years or so, til they did some restoration. Iron bolts and copper plates create a kind of battery. The bolt holes enlarged to a point where a good storm might have stripped the Lady"Oh great. Now we take it apart and send it across the ocean."
