if you want to make this a math oriented thread feel free but...
im gonna ask this question.
do 2 percents 'add' together or is it multiplicative to create a similar smaller number together? for example 12% 'base' (think max hp damage for gameplay clarity purposes of this explaination) of something with 120 (as base damage) attached to it as a secondary number and 25% gets added into the mix on both 'numbers'. does that increase the 12% by 25 into 37 while the 'base' number is like (oh i don't know)... 37% max hp damage together with the base damage involved. 120 plus 37% equals= 164. (yes i used a calculator for this part but i can show my work of every 100 is the percent number added in) like 100 of 37% is 137. but the 20 of 37% is something of an unknown to me since it comes into a decimal thing one can't do by hand.
so the question about percentages is do percents add together like this or is it multiplied together by decimals to equal a smaller number to pair with it?
and yes im aware im not the brightest cookie in the cookie jar.
