I did. And it's good to keep that in mind as a backup solution. But well, human nature seems to makes us deal with things the way we are expected to.

There's no way in hell I'd ever knowingly walk on frozen ice so, no.

Only on some short parts of river, the revirs here are rather calm and easy. And it is fine by me, I preffer relaxation over adrenaline while being on raft or canoe.

HYE been rock climbing without belaying?
 
If you could call touristically overdeveloped and secured places caving, then yes. Otherwise no. But I'd love to, I worked as a guide for old mineshaft and I became to love underground of any kind.
