I've been lurking the porn section but wanted to say be sure to say Hi here while I'm still new. It's really nice to meet all yall and I'm super glad to be here. I'm 28, live in the woods and treasure every second I have with my dog. It feels really good to finally reach out to the community which I somehow never figured would exist. I saw beast forum when I was a youngster but couldn't see the community amidst the paywall'd porn. In my mind that associated it with rapey animal porn that was most prevalent then. Almost a decade of strife later, I reached out to someone I had a good feeling about, they pointed me to zoo.wtf. ZooTT gave me the lowdown on the massive awesomeness I've been somehow oblivious to all this time.

So thank you everyone for being here and maintaining an online presence as a zoo or zoo-ally. There's folks struggling to find their understanding as zoos or the importance of bein around others who respect non-humans as individuals. It's tough not yelling at people that are tryna schedule a neutering/spaying as an essential, happy and positive event. So its nice to being around people talking about animals where mutilation is not the norm. but now I'm ramblin'.

So... Hello!

Hey, and welcome! I’m jealous of your living in the woods situation. I’m in the thick of a downtown metropolitan area but was raised on land and can’t wait to get back to that! My new pup would like it, too - space for him to run run run lol

Being in the city has its pros. Lately I've been wanting to try korean take-out but the closest place is over an hour away
lol yeah unending space it seems. It's a lot of fun, but sometimes I take it for granted.
Definitely has its excitement! It's the edge of a wilderness area so there are bears, cougars, hares, deer, rattlesnakes and coyotes.

Once, before work I got an intense workout trying to halt my man chasing the shit out of a black bear that strayed into our territory. He did some crazy matrix style ninja leap backwards to avoid getting claw-gutted by the bear. Luckily I was catching up at the time and my barking made the bear turn to run. After which, my dog proceeded to nip at the bear's ass. We were already headed uphill and it was getting steeper but the bear just kept accelerating uphill like a fuckin rocketship.

That was the one thing that really stuck with me and scared the shit out of me. I know bears can go pretty fuckin fast on flat ground. but at a point that hillside went near vertical and if anything it just went up it faster. It's a good thing bears usually aren't looking for a fight

Ha! That’s probably the most specifically detailed, punctuated and hilarious on-line reply I’ve ever read! 😝 Yes, city life for sure has it’s perks; not being chased by bears probably being among the top of the list. At least in relation to this conversation, haha! Land and space and all those wild animals sounds fantastic too, though. For someone who’s knowledgeable and equipped well enough to deal with them, at least! What kind of dog do you have? My old guy of 15 years died 3 years ago. But, finally just last month and, after a long and quiet three year stretch without a pup, I brought home my newest little guy; a 4 mo old German Shorthaired Pointer I’ve named Ronald 🌝

Thanks for welcome!
yeah, I have a habit of otherthinking which lends to obsessive proofreading.
Loki, 7, is a tall, handsome, staffordshire terrier.
to be fair, the bear wasn't the one giving chase.
also turkeys. i forgot turkeys. and peacocks for some reason. there are a couple wild peacocks

puppy! thats super nice! idk if i could make it three years. Idk if i know much about the breed, but I'm especially fond of short haired dags
