One of the lead characters of the czechoslovak movie Marketa Lazarova is a monk named Bernard. He wanders the earth with his beloved sheep and lives like a beggar. His introductory scene outright calls him out as a sodomite ("Am I not right that you're lingering in sodomical sin? You know very well that she's no woman, just as you are no ram!") from the POV of the narrator (Bernard addresses him as the Lord). It's framed as a vice, to imply him as impious and hypocritical, but the movie is surprisingly sympathetic to him, considering that he's explicitly one of the only peaceful and benign characters in the whole story.
