An online crush...

Kristy

Esteemed Citizen of ZV
Have you ever developed a crush on someone online? Do you even think it's possible?
You've exchanged a few PMs with this amazing person over a period of days. They seem so perfect, your heart has already been fluttering for them. You can't wait for their next message...running to your computer is the first thing you do upon waking in the morning or arriving home. Your phone or computer can't get online fast enough...is there a message? Is there? Is there?

So, dear hearts and gentle people, have you ever found yourself in this position, or do you believe it impossible?
Feel free to expound upon your comments.
Thank-you!

I'M HEAD OVER HEALS?❤️ with an ANGEL here. She's HEAVENLY beautiful and SEXY like no one else! She's awfully sweet and I can't indeed wait until I can open my phone. Even a few times in the middle of the night I'll look for messages from her. I wish it was possible to meet with her and marry her! ?❤️❤️❤️?She's sooooo WET always!?????? And I ADORE HER! ???

She sounds incredible...

It is most certainly possible. I've fallen victim to it many times. And every time is as you've described: can't wait to open you computer, check your phone, living at the edge of your seat. Waiting, just waiting for that next response. It's definitely an emotional rollercoaster.
?

I met a girl 16 years ago while playing Diablo 2 online, we talked and played the game together there and then soon after on messenger. She was one of my first crush... we talked for hours on the phone and totally were in puppy love haha. Crazy thing is, we still talk to this day and have known each other longer than her spouse or almost all my friends. We became life long friends over an internet crush haha.
That is so sweet!
I am still waiting for such feelings I've ever had to be reciprocal.

Crushed pretty hard over an older guy online when I was younger. The downside of course being I was younger and didn't know he was older until we'd been digital dating for a few months.

But on a happier note, my current partner and I bonded over playing games together online and video calls, so you take the good with the bad when it comes to crushing on someone online I suppose. ?

Definately. You can form an infatuation with another over any medium as long as you perveive some trait you connect with. Some people might even have an easier time forming connections and becoming smitten online.

My first E-crush was an American girl. I think I was 14 or 15... I remember we chatted over msn messenger and skype a lot. It sort of peetered out though...

Ohhh... Sooo sweet! ???

Yes I have. As I said, the joy when she writes back that everything bad on that day is forgotten, but also the bitter disappointment when you haven't received anything yet.
Also find the exciting thing about the fact that you get an idea of what the person might look like, etc.

Longer than her spouse...that's really quite lovely!

It that regard, it can mirror real life...taking a chance of good or bad. Thank-you.

Some people are much more at ease online, yes. Thank-you for your comments.

Of course, I've fallen in love with quite a few people online.
It's much easier to get to know the person when you can be honest about who you are and what you're into.
Well said...all true. I appreciate your commenting.

Yes, I always have vivid mental pictures of who I'm talking to online. That image in my mind is always very flattering. That's one reason I never want a photo from the person...I don't want or need that mental image messed with.

i thought i had a few on here but then i got dumped and have no idea they sent me their kik and other means of contact said they wanted to meet my boy and me we chatted exchanged pictures some videos and now no more responses from them and they were and still are on here
Oh my...that's hard to take when that happens. I'm sorry about that for you! Thank-you for your comment.

Story of my life; I've developed so many online crushes over the years that it's played a major part in my dismal success rate. Out of all of those online crushes, the very few that did reciprocate turned out to be too ethereal that any plans to actually meet up with them turned to eldritch cyan-green vapors (instead of dust). It was like flirting with ghosts...

The only successful relationship that was online didn't even start as a crush; it was more of a friendship that transitioned into an incrementally deeper connection. The shame of it all was that...even SHE ended up leaving. So, I'm basically back to square one.

Impossible for me? Yes. Unless dogs learn how to type on a keyboard. That would be interesting :husky_laughing::husky_wink:

For nonexclusive zoos I'd say a long distance relationship is possible but I wouldn't recommend it. A "healthy" relationship is all about connecting with somebody on an emotional and physical level, its kinda hard to do that on a computer screen all the time. Imagine being in love with someone but not being able to feel the warmth of their embrace. To not be able to be affectionate with them. To miss them constantly because they live far away from you. It sounds.... Difficult. Not impossible if the person has the means to travel to where your at or they live within a reasonable distance though
