Well, is nice to have a roommate that is not a bigot and that you don't have to hide your sexuality from.

May cause some problems if you have an animal and you are the jealous kind and your animal tries sexual stuff with your roomate or vise versa.

Or, may be a benefit if your roommate has animals and he is not jealous and don't mind if you have sex with his/her animals.

Also, paying rent between 2 people is easier than doing it alone, unless you are making enough money to not need a roommate at all.

Also, a roommate can help you take care of your animals (in a non-sexual way) when you are not around and vise versa. Living alone means your animals are alone if you work outside for several hours.

True, that's why it's important to really take your time when considering something like that with someone. As nice as it would be, you got to be sure they're trustworthy enough.
