To drop myself in the convo unasked... I came here because one of the mods, Dogluver101, had been my friend for years, and he kept pestering me to make an account. I finally gave in one day, and stayed when I found this place to be a good alternative the now and also then defunct ZophilesForum.org, which was a site not too dissimilar to this one, but also a place where I had made many friends there as well. I'd say I've made more friends here than I did over there. But I've also been a member here longer than I had been a member there. You just gotta find the cool peeps out of the many many MANY leg humpers. Lol

Yep. I grew up poor, so regular over-the-air TV was all we had. Even when my family got out of poverty, my mom never did feel the need to pay for cable/satellite TV. Finally being able to afford internet was definitely nice though, for sure.
