I kinda feel like these questions are demonstrating we are lost as a species.:D
Yea, if someone has no self control and cant stop themselves from logging into a website for a little while... jeez... how do they manage in real life?

Fencehopping
Fence hopping - Trespassing onto someone else's property to have sex with an animal you do not own.
Owner hopping - Having sex with animals you have permission to be with, but not have sex with. (e.g. dogsitting, dog walker, stable boy, etc.)
I feel like "Fencehopping bad" reinforces the harmful idea that animals are inanimate property

Fencehopping often puts you in a physical location where it would either be 100% justifiable for you to be shot, or be a large part of said justification...so there is that. There are other arguments...
You might not know the health history of said animal.
You might ADD health history of the animal. (owner notices something different and calls vet, or even treats themselves)
You might modify the behavior of an animal, for instance a mare swinging her ass to get some special attention, or a male getting mount-y.
They may already be someone's lover!!
Probably others...

Fencehopping is bad because you’re just taking insane risks when doing so. It’s not to be encouraged, regardless of what you think about “owning” an animal.

How the hell does owning an animal suddenly imply it’s “inanimate”?

The laws differs a lot between countries.
In my country (in Europe) the shooting of a trespasser will make you jailed for murder unless it was self defence.

Your feelings don't mean anything at all, here in the real world everything inside my property line is my property, you don't work in order to have said property, livestock and everything else that goes along with keeping them so what the hell makes you think that you're entitled to anything that you don't have financial responsibility for?

I see many references to the "staying safe online" guide, but cannot find it. This would be a logical place to find it linked.

Killing a trespasser would already be a long way to the burden of proof in any sane country. In the USA, in most states, if they were in a building, you'd almost be guaranteed to be considered justified, and even outside, there would have to be very obvious signs that person was zero threat. I bet in most places on earth "The guy ran at me with rage in his eyes, so I hit him over the head with a shovel" would be all that had to be said....

You'd be surprised. I have seen people convicted of manslaughter in my own country even though their actions were (imo) justified. The burden of proof here for deeming a killing "justified" is quite high. At least if firearms are involved, maybe using a shovel you could get away with it, if it was a single blow.

I live in a state with "stand your ground" laws, and they're quite clear about my right to defend myself.

North Carolina's "stand your ground" law allows individuals to use deadly force in self-defense when they reasonably believe it's necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to themselves or others, without a duty to retreat. This is also known as the Castle Doctrine, which applies in one's home, vehicle, or place of work. However, there are exceptions, such as when the person using force is the initial aggressor or if the threat is not imminent.

I was even sued for pain and suffering because my dog bit a burglar... And my dog had to undergo a temperament test to prove that he is not aggressive otherwise. 🙈
If the burglar was caught by the dog inside your house I would say the dog was justified.
But many people here writes as it is okay to shoot and kill everyone uninvited on your ground! I wonder how many tramps is killed 🤔
So I wouldn’t dare to walk into a farm if my car broke down

Same. I would never walk into someone's property. That is why I have a cell phone to call for help. Worse case scenario I wait for passerby and ask them to call for police.

What I meant was that I wouldn’t walk into a farm in USA, where such laws apply.
To me this is very much like in the old ‘westerns’ where the fastest gun rules.
It would never be a problem in Europe.

Some of you are overthinking this. If you go up to many places in the USA, especially rural places, and ask for help, you're likely to get it. I've given away parts, gas, jumps, tire repairs, water, and called someone for them. That's not to say I didn't have a little something-something in my pocket-but I can promise you EVERY house in several miles of me is well armed, and this is an open carry state. I am NOT going to retreat from danger. For one, I am SLOW. I have never been able to run very fast or far, so all running away is going to do is exhaust me when I need my energy the most.
Help, you get. But if someone wanders up on you forking their cow, that isn't gonna put many people in a good mood. If you insist on fence hopping, and you are caught, run away from whoever catches you, or surrender with complete submission to your fate. If you threaten or challenge them, they will be well within their rights to end you, and all they will get as punishment is free drinks at the bar.
