Zoophilia in Modern Times

I am curious on anyones thoughts concerning whether you think Zoophilia is close to being accepted in the Western world considering our current social-cultural-political woke climate?

Not trying to get too political here, but considering what Western society is normalizing and accepting in these modern times, and the type of posts being made on various social media platforms, I would think we are currently the closest we would ever be to being accepted?

Do we know of any Countries/States etc as on 2024 who have legalised, decriminalised or simple have no laws against the practice of zoophilia?
 
no, no idea what part of the "woke culture" gives you this impression... the way it looks like anything deemed "woke" is hated?
don't get me wrong, i'd like if something like a netflix show tried to have a sort of zooey character.
acceptance is not happening any time soon. for as long as "they can't consent" is usable argument by ppl without knowledge... which probably won't change without like an invention of "dog translator" or something to scratch off that argument forever.

agree, with the new consent to everything thing going on, the translator would be needed

This will never happen. At least not in my lifetime. Maybe if this were still the times of Ancient Greece where basically anything went, but we have had to generally suck the fun out of everything by today’s standards. We can largely thank organized religion for the state we find ourselves in now.
 
For what I am seeing, absolutely not. These times are even darker than before, excluding people with harmful and hypocritical ideas.
 
I think it’s absolutely not accepted and part of why I keep this pet of my life a super secret. It’s just the way it is, and I am ok with that.

OK I can see the furry stuff being play and not linked to zoo, but indongibe the side eye.

Feral, to me that's just a fancy word for beastiality or zoo. Trying to sound innocent.

I recall reading the Spain and possibly Portugal recently legalized beastiality.
 
Nope. Laws against it are really not that old. But really, why is it a big deal if it is legal or not? Are you wanting to have dog sex in public or something? Even human sex in public is illegal in most places. Are you wanting to tell your parents about it? Your best friends? Whether or not it is legal doesn't really change how it is viewed. It is legal for guys to wear dresses, but its still a dude in a dress. Idk.

It was Spain, but it was not legalized, they rewrote the law.
In addition, Spain is where cats are required to be sterilized. Fortunately, not the dogs, but never know with such idiot politicians in the future.
Spain has a left-wing, liberal government. It is not by chance that I say that power should never be given to liberal people.

Whereas in Germany, you have an interesting situation: The law says on the tin that bestiality is illegal as long as you hurt the animal. Some zoo's piloted a lawsuit against that due to them feeling discriminated against the sexual freedom. Which lead to the Federal Constitutional Court here in Germany to clearify it - and the law besically says that it's illegal to have bestiality with animals you force into it, but the act of having sex with animals isn't prohibited. Okay so exactly what would it make easier though? To me, it doesn't make much difference at all. I'm not planning on getting caught. Even if it was legal you would still have to deal with that stigma if you got caught. You'll still be likely to get shunned by friends and family, coworkers, etc.

Only thing I could see making it easier would be for groups of zoos to gather maybe. But still that's pretty much going public with it. I guess I just don't see the big benefit when the majority of society still wouldn't accept it even if it was legal.
 
Nope, it's never going to happen unless Dr. Dolittle starts talking to the animals so they can give informed consent...

It's viewed as weird, strange, and unnatural by many people. They don't like the idea of animals having human characteristics

I also think most people look at furries as if they were zoos either way, which makes it look worse for them and the whole fandom

Like homosexuality years ago when it was first legalised, it was still shamed upon by most people at first, then gradually, slowly, became widely accepted over many decades

I think zoophilia will be the same, if it is ever legalised
 
Not likely any time soon...

There would have to be some kinda of mass public education drives to degrade the stigma around it to show people that in fact no, zoophiles are not animal abuser and how we think and what we do is done entirely with the welfare of our companions in mind.

Good luck getting your local authority to do this though!.
