They’re just finally starting to get rid of the stigma that said they were zoophiles. Of course not.

We come with a sexual nature and different types of desires. I am glad this place exists. Furries are as other people just as perverted as anyone else. We just don;t admit that. And hide silent so we don't get hung by our balls for saying something socially unacceptable. :D

Most furries are merely zoophiles that are too afraid to confront the fact that they themselves are zoophilic. But I highly doubt that a widespread "zoo acceptance movement" will ever gain traction. (Despite the high number of actual zoophiles that exist within their community.) Most modern day furries are working hard to fight against the stereotype that they "fuck their dogs." They want to instead be known for their peace/love/acceptance/simple love for anthropomorphic animal art and stories/culture. They know that to have an image of being "animal fuckers" is a damning image to have.

Just the young ones, who just happen to be growing in numbers and, well, that generation are screaming babies about everything online, so they're highly visible.

To quote The Magicians:
"Fucking Millenials"
Furries are divided into three groups: Olde Guard, alt-left frekactivists and those that are just there for the porn and have never made a post in 20 years.

Well, given that many of us were key movers in starting the (formal) "furry fandom", created/bankrolled the largest sites around, helped steer their development, etc., it's kinda nice of the "community" to "never socially accept" us.

The anarchist in me doesn't recognise the word "community" in this context the first place, or who within it has the power or right to deem zoos to be "not acceptable community members" (certainly not the newbies) but that's another matter. ;)

I consider myself both a furry and a zoo...only problem is I have to keep my zoo side 100% secret except here in zooville...so...I guess I am not as much of a furry as I thought I was.

people are all into different things and furries love the fantasy and those aspects. I don’t think they would ever accept a zoo or even me as a zoo.

it’s the way the world is right now

Well said dude.

Hmm? You think I'm a furry? XD That's a bit too little to consider oneself as such in my opinion.

I didn't answer the poll. Certainly nothing suggests they would but history can take weird turns. So maaaaaybe in 80 years. Or 120...
