When your dog loves someone else more

Does anyone else here have a dog with whom he or she is intimate, but the dog loves someone else more then you? My dog clearly loves my wife more then me, always laying at her feet, following her around everywhere she goes and so on. He is happy enough to be with me but when we are both in the room his preference is clear. He doesnt get any sex from her, but I was wondering if I was the only one Tbh I dont mind at all, I'm not jealous and I know he cares about me too. Besides, its not a competition, and I know she loves me more then him so I win regardles

Some dog behaviorists say that opposite gender work better. Also dogs value different aspects in human personalities and she might just be doing something your dog likes. Also sex is just sex, while it sometimes strengthens the bond between a human and an animal, it does not do that automatically.
