What’s your favorite car?

This was my first real car, my very first was a $500 Datsun 200 sx that looked like someone had had a really bad day and kicked the shit out of their car. Good thing it was Alberta and beat up farm vehicles are everywhere. The 1990 Turbo Chevy/Pontiac/Suzuki Sprint/Firefly/Swift are an awesome vehicle. I bought my Chevy in 2000 in BC, fairly low km and 98% of the body good. Made the dumb ass decision to move to Ontario and she lasted about 3 years before the 100% salt they throw on the roads in the winter months ate huge holes in the floor. It also had some custom rims which I’m now suspecting were the cause of the multiple wheel bearing changes I had to make with it, probably about 9 in either side of the rear. That aside it was $26 to fill up on premium which was $0.66 or 76 and that would last all week. I thought it had decent handling but then the new Mini Coopers came out, those are insane. I took one for a test drive in Whitby, went beside one of the lights in the parking lot of some department store, cranked the wheel and stepped on the gas and it did near perfect circles around the light with very little gravitational pull due to some electronic suspension shit. Tried it in my Sprint after and it did ovals.
My favourite car at the moment is the Hyundai Kona, they’re coming out with an all wheel drive electric and their current electric goes 258 miles or 415k per charge although they say that suffers in cold weather and we get a ton of that.

I like cars. Almost all of them. There is just something about them, i can't explain it, but they are just fascinating. I'm a girl, i don't know shit about cars, all those engines and gears and whatever, i can't even drive one, but if you name a car, i could probably recall it's look in my mind, unless it's something pretty rare.

So my favourite cars are american cars of 1950s-1970s. They are just stunning! And guess what, i love all sorts of electric cars and my big dream that will never be real is to convert classic cars into electric or build new ones in the design of classic cars

actually some car tuners do all-electric restomods... old-school petrolheads find it repulsive and insulting, these leave me cold also, but if there wasn't interest, nobody would do them, so there is a market for that...

1970’s Winnebago RV 😍😍😍😍😍

i'm older but the cars of my generation never appealed to me. they were fun while they were in but the newer cars are better hands down. old cars are fun to look at but not my thing to have. newwer cars i do like teslas despite the controversy on them. i like to keep up with new tech and teslas have a lot of it.

to be fair some mid age model SUVs are more my speed. rather than a 67 chevy or t-bird, a 88 bronco, 90s balzwer and 00s suburbasn are pretty cool too. those cars stuck with me more than the muscle carsback in my teens

I'm a fan of many cars and trucks classic cars consist of Tri-five Chevy's, 69-70 mustang fatbacks, and 70-72 Chevelle's

Newer model cars 2011+ mustangs with V8 engines, c5 corvettes, c6 corvettes, and the hellcats (because they're just silly)

Trucks are all over the board 1960-1972 Chevy pickups (yes different body styles but I like them), most Ford trucks from 1950-1996, Ford picks back up in 2011, Chevy trucks from 99-07, and Ram SRT-10

You forgot the 88-98 Chevy trucks but I forgive you for mentioning the rest lol. 73-87 are nice too.

The 73-98 year range is everywhere and never had enough power (thanks to emissions standards)... While I like them and I want an 80's suburban I can't put them on the list unless I'm swapping engines (and maybe the frames) for newer stuff

I have crazy ideas in my head for basically everything on my list though

Agreed, they never did have enough power. But you did mention the 99-07 which are perfect engine donors for those older trucks. Believe me when I say a junkyard LS with a cam is a riot in a 90's Chevy truck lol. Gotta love a suburban too!

I'm thinking more of frame swap an 80's suburban onto a 01-06 suburban 2500 frame and Duramax drivetrain swap

Maybe pump it up to 550-650 rwhp

If I could afford to buy a classic whip for my girl and I to cruise around in, I’d get a W123 Mercedes Benz wagon. Nothing beats the durability of those old diesel motors and the smooth ride.
Now, going a little bit newer (and I dream of owning one of these one day) 1992-1994 Subaru Legacy turbo wagon built to smoke any new Audi. Sporty, 4 wheel drive but still room for my Shepherd girl to be comfy.
Now, if I had a lot of money and no passenger’s comfort to worry about, I’d get a Ford Focus Rally Sport: 365 HP AWD hatchback (and it would probably get me killed 😆)

Gotta say, I’m quite happy with my Crew cab F350 though.
I love the Subie

My absolut fav is the Impreza 22b

One of my dream cars is a German WW2 half-track.

But the two cars that I do own are a 1986 Toyota Landcruiser 70 series Troopcarrier and a 1993 ex-military M-Benz Unimog.

I love the all the Ferrari flagship cars like the Enzo, the LaFerrari, F40, F50, 250 GTO... though they are just a fantasy but they all are very beautiful or just any Ferrari designed by Pininfarina. Another one would be the Jaguar XJ220, very beautiful car imo but also not in the budget. A car I want rn that I could afford is an e36 m3 or just a c5 z06. Both very beautiful cars and they aren't bank breakingly expensive

Just wait for the service bills. One of my work friends has/dose own both the m3 and c5. The last service the m3 got cost him 6k and every service and part the c5 needed cost a lot (because we live in Australia).

I know that pain all too well with owning Euro cars in AUS. Even just getting parts can take months sometimes.

Fog light surrounds for the 7 series… 2 months as there was none in the country.
Back when I had local/jap cars there was always something on shore waiting for you.
