What's a safe(ish) way to find out if your long time partner is into the idea of Zoo?

Been with my wife 10-ish years. Decent enough relationship, relatively okay sex life. But as I'm sure a lot of you can relate: I want more. I want to explore the beast lifestyle with her. Now I accept that there's a chance she's not into it and it'll have to stay at that, but.... what if? I've previously gotten little hints of her maybe being curious.

first off she grew up with an intact male dog. so there could've been exploration there. Secondly, she (on a few rare occasions) has pointed out dog dicks in things like pictures/movies/at the park. But maybe it's all me being hopeful and everything is in my head.

We may be getting a dog in the future, which I suppose could lead to more of her pointing it out, especially if we were at home and the red cock emerged. Although when asked if she'd prefer a boy or girl she said "probably a girl."

So, backstory aside, does anyone have any good suggestions to find out if she's into the kink BEFORE we get into the process of adopting a pup? I'd like to adopt a male, which wouldn't be too hard to convince her to get- but if she's not going to play with it, I'd maybe prefer a female instead.

Obviously it's a touchy subject matter and she's an animal lover and I'd hate to ruin everything we've built together just because of a kinky interest. Any advice would be appreciated, sorry if the post is all over, and I rambled a bit.
 
I wouldn't take anything as an indication. I saw a video a while ago of women going absolutely ape shit over a turtles penis. My cousin who I am 95% sure is not into animals at all gets excited( in a non sexual way) when she sees a horse dick or dog dick. A lot of people, it is just a odd or comical sight that they don't see often so sometimes they react with morbid fascination dosent mean they want to run over and start sucking on it. Beyond that though I have no advice of asking her if she is into it.
 
Solid point, I've definitely seen people joke about it in that kind of way. I'm just wired differently so instead of a morbid fascination it's more of a sexual one lol.

At fair type things people are always joking about when horses stick their pens out and even more if they get hard. Most of the people who do would not probably play with it. Just joking about it is all. We have some very proud boys at one fair i go to.

that's a pretty solid plan. we haven't watched porn together in a while, she's doesn't really look at porn anymore (she used to a lot, her internet history was always interesting) but its like a switch flipped after watching that movie Don Jons Addiction and she gave it up.

that being said I could probably get her to watch porn while fucking like we used to for old times sake and escalate from there. That poses much less risk.
 
Nothing you said is a clear indication that she is even vaguely interested in zoo-sex, Datewithnine. All I could suggest is that you get yourselves an intact dog/puppy and work from there. I got into the life because someone inspired me, although they didn't actually show me, but that was just me. I was curious, which is the way most of us start out I guess.

Do you both look at porn together? You could always slip something in! So to speak!
 
The porn route really seems like the best option before getting an intact male and "seeing where it goes from there." I mean worst case scenario her interest never shows and I end up with a dog which id love completely so thats not too bad. kind of a win/double win scenario.

Haven't watched porn together in probably 6 years but I could probably get that going again and eventually escalate to throwing something zoo in the mix as an "oops." I think thats going to be my plan.
