I lack this and just sometimes veer off to do other things after signing on here maybe lack of attention spanBecause your account was made before July '21 and grandfathered in. Still, I don't know how you could have gone all that time without seeing you could message some and not others and then looking to figure out why. Have you no human curiosity?
Does a bear shit in the woods? Why are PMs so hard to unlock? Do people really "break the rules" in PMs?
.45 ACPI can't name it directly here
nt this toward my quota. Thank you for yourHello ZooVille!
I'm just giving everyone a heads up that the user privilege permissions have been updated on the forum, along with some other changes to the layout.
NEW User Permissions:
- To be able to access PMs (Private Messages) you must now make at least 20 posts AND you must be a member for at least 30 days on the forum.
- Further restrictions have also been applied to the PM + Pictures privilege. You must get 150 posts on the forum AND you must be a member for 60 days to be able to send pictures in PM.
- Note: that if you do not meet these new requirements, you may lose access to the ability to send new PMs until you meet both thresholds.
PMs are not a right, they are a privilege that needs to be earned. While setting the bar to 10 posts did cut down on lurker spam, it's become obvious that it's too easy for people to spam 10 posts and then start breaking rules in PMs. While 20 is not a hard number of posts to reach, there's nothing that can be done to subvert father time. You must be patient.
Logged Out / Guest Forum Access:
- The ability to read the forum while you are logged out as been revoked. You'll now see the forum categories, but they will all be set to private.
- This excludes the "ZooVille - News and Announcements" section of the forum, which will still be visible to Guests / Logged Out users.
- The ability to use the search function while a Guest / Logged Out has been revoked. Only members with a valid account may use the search function.
- "ZooVille.org News and Announcements" has been renamed to "ZooVille - News and Announcements" this is because "ZooVille.org" is a locked domain, and I don't think the registrar is going to give it back to us. You may also notice that this section is it's own category now and no longer a part of the general section. This was the only way to unlock it for Guests / Logged Out users.
These changes are mainly due to privacy and user safety concerns. To view the forum you HAVE to be a member of the forum. Due to the nature of zoophilia and bestiality, and due to the fact that this is the largest forum about these topics, we believe having an account should be a bare minimum requirement.
Thank you for your understanding on the matter.
same here, but i’m willing to make the effortIt's a good change in my opinion just annoying as well for those of us that just joined before the 20 post/30 day requirement and met the previous 10 post requirements.

Here's an example:While I haven't penetration tested it, I'm pretty sure.
The forum software has user permission redundancy. Every account will have 2 places where an account will have permissions set. One is the base level (selectable) and the other is promotional (checkmark-able.) Basically when the 2021 promotion change was added, it set the new base level (selectable) permission to a new lower base level moving forward. However the pre-2021 accounts still had the, then and now, second level of promotion already selected. Because the initial "first level" became the "second level" moving forward. So pre-2021 accounts basically get treated as if they are on the second level of promotion instead of first level, because they are in the selectable section but not the checkmark-able section.
When you create a new account it'll set the selectable to first level, and when they meet the threshold for the next level, it'll checkmark the next level of promotion. It's basically stackable. The pre-2021 accounts still get the stackable checkmark-able permissions applied, but their base level is higher than post-2021 accounts.
However, unlike in 2021, I didn't add a new promotion. The main change I made was that I upped the promotion criteria of the already existing promotion. The forum software will not unselect the selectable base level automatically, but it should uncheck a promotion if they no longer meet the criteria to have it.
I found a few more accounts. What they seem to all share in common is that they haven't logged in since the change was made. The ones that have logged in recently, and no longer meet criteria, have their second level of promotion unchecked. Here's an example:
Account created 2024, currently only 13 posts, hasn't lost PM button with new change.
Yes, that is exactly the way. You have 59 as I type this.Question? How can I tell how many post I have done would it be classified as messages when I look at my profile

Agreed. One user I was following had 13 comments and the DM button was there. After he logged in, the DM button disappeared.I found a few more accounts. I can continue to monitor it, but I have a feeling that the cron is simply skipping their accounts untill they're active again.
Agreed in general, but I do think the Introductions forum should still be open to new users.Hell, it should be 30 days to start a thread.
