not sure why this fear of a boar? like every creature, a learning how to handle, teach, and DO NOT BE ABUSIVE, you will be ok. If these are your critters.....if someone else's, then get to know that person first, a simply wise thing to do
 
Sows can be aggressive too... or sweet. Sometimes both depending on their mood. I've no boar experience so can't comment on that side of the fence :)

I don't want to say anything negative about a creature that doesn't deserve negative talk. The feral pigs in the US and our domestic pigs don't deserve it. But I do want to explain how dangerous they can be.

Feral pigs are invasive in the southern US and northern MX, so you can hunt them without a license. If you bring dogs you'd probably bring pit bull terriers, who are powerful dogs that weigh about 70 lbs. Most people have at least 2 on a hunt, to take down a big boar you'd need 4 in my opinion. You'd need at least two men with high-caliber hunting rifles who can keep up. Everyone in the hunting party should feel capable of shooting a pig on the ground and not accidentally shooting a dog or human, which requires some experience.

I'm not trying to scare you guys but feral pigs are basically 2 generations away from domestic pics. Just because I want to suck a pig's dick doesn't mean they aren't deadly.

Depending on your locale and several other variables... I have the potential to become that farmer friend, because I own a giant 800 lb mature duroc boar. Plus a few 'smaller' hogs. All of whom are plenty domesticated, fairly docile, still tusked, and receptive to interspecies sexuality on the regular. Their size can be intimidating, yes. But no worse than working around cattle & horses imo. We learn the language of the species, and use it to 'talk'. Mimic behaviors. Do as they do. When in Rome, do as the Romans; when in the cow or pig herd, do as the cows or pigs. A little respect and common sense both paid and received, some sensible precautions taken, and lo, we adapt to each other. And when that happens, we find all sorts of ways to... ahem... come together. <-- As you can see, shitty puns are a specialty of mine ;)

Hell, I even have a pit too, and several other large-to-giant breed male dogs in my pack. Good to see a fellow zoo around with whom I have so much overlap at a glance. I promise I'm not one to feel stalked (lol) so feel free to have a read over some of my early posts and contributions to general knowledge in other hog threads. About the smell? we all differ much in what we like. Some user here write that they love the smell of their dogs fur, while other don’t like it. The same with pigs.

A pig can easily be potty trained as a dog, and (you may be surprised) in nature they don't poop in the same place where they eat. As the user above me already said, they are usually kept in small enclosures (or many of them in little spaces), so, they simply adapt to what they have.
Btw... dog kennels don't smell so much better, from what I remember :unsure:

I've been in industrial factories, with hundreds of pigs, not 'villages'. And they were cleaner than cows or other farm animals.
There's no point in continuing this discussion. Your 'knowledge' is only circumstantial, and with a very small case history... ?
