Reminded of Fellow Zoo Who Appeared on "Springer"

While watching the evening news tonight, they were covering the life/death of Jerry Springer. During this segment they mentioned the Episode "the man who married his horse". I happened to have known that Gentleman. His Internet ID was known to some as "Hoss Topper" I simply knew Him as "George" (Last name omitted). then I thought about how long it's been since he passed away. its been just over a decade now.

it brought a sad smile regardless.

Pretty bad episode though. The zoos there had no chance.

I was wondering when the death of Gerald "Jerry" Springer would make its way onto the forum. It's been awhile since I've watched the "I married a horse" episode, which I think is/was on YouTube. I might go back and see if I can find it again, I do remember it was pretty brutal though.

Springer played most things for laughs and shockvalue....he wasnt even unique....but it kept the smaller networks from getting too complacent....so he served a purpose. No, he didnt do a lot for the zoo world, or a lot of any other worlds.....but he didnt make worse either.
Bayete, Mr Springer

Hossie held his own on that show...really. It was also pretty sedate for a Springer show. You gotta remember, most episodes broke out into mayhem and fights at that time. That had to be one of the few episodes where the bouncers had nothing to do...
I'm pretty sure he died before 2000....it was a LONG time ago.

Didn,t The guy who married his horse write a Book?
I remember an equine zoo friend of mine had a book and I could have swore it was from that guy.
They both knew each other online.

A.I. answered my question. The book is currently out of print. "The Horseman" Obsessions of a zoophile.
Actually read a little of it, while staying at my friends place for a weekend. seemed like a good read, never got to delve deep enough into the story. We had other things to do that weekend.

Thinking back, I miss my old equine friend. But times have changed and his personality became so much different, than what it was back then. almost becoming like a totally different person. Im not even sure if he's zoo anymore.
But those were fun times and I cherish the friendship we had and the good times. They will be in my memories forever.

Well I found a copy of the book but it's pretty pricey, But I ordered it anyway's I want to finish reading it.
It will take me back in my mind to that time and that will make me feel good.
Im going on vacation in September rented me a little cottage by the ocean in California, I think I will read it there and just commune with my thoughts. Found a nice fully furnished cottage in a beach community in San Diego, will be relaxing there for 2 weeks in September. Going to spend a day at the World famous San Diego Zoo as well and hang out with the Bears at there enclosure watching them in Awe at there majestic beauty. I try to get away every year to somewhere different. This year it's San Diego. Sad that Im Single and have to alway's go alone.
maybe one day I will meet the Bear of my dreams and we can vacation together. There's alway's hope.

Our recent history is full of people who burst the bubble and illuminated our way of loving others. But the consequences are always complicated. these stories can teach ur a lot.

I wonder if he got a 'good' copy. Hossie had his pony mare, Pixel, autograph many of the books. I seem to remember seeing autographed copies showing up for sale. I was lucky enough to meet Hossie and Pixel. Hossie was a very intelligent and well spoken man, but he would also instantly strike you as a scary smelly pervert trailer trash weirdo. But by the time I knew him, he frankly was very ill, and broke. Maybe he cleaned up pretty good in his younger days.....

He tried to help zoophiles. I'm not sure if he did a good thing or not. Many people think our best tactic is to stay far off the radar.

When the states voted out the laws against homosexuality, many of them 'inadvertently' also repealed the laws against bestiality. Many of them have since outlawed bestiality separately. Some blame Hossie and others who brought zoophilia out into the open a bit.

Jerry was nevercaired here. I watched this episode online because of the subject and the guy there.

Considering the show aimed to get a laught out if guests, he did remarcably well through it and passed with bright colors. Not so much the rest, sadly.

I also read "The horseman". I was expecting something bad, and instead it was a good read, even if... damn that youth in there 🤦 Real or not, he porteayed himself as the most legit person there 🤣

At that time, and with enough legal holes to call it ilegal, I guess good exposure and fighting for it was somehow a reasonable option.

Nowadays... take cover and do your thing, cause law has enough tools to play wack-a-mole on any zoo standing out.
