Yeah. Pretty sure most of his info came from the users who clicked on the link he posted. The link that was broken but still farmed referal info (I gave him my ToR exit node, hope the CIA isn't coming to bust down my door soon).
Not much else of what he said or did really made much sense.

SPAM_LINK! IP_GRABBER!, the urls he posted are an IP logger.
It loads a website in your browser that attempts to steal any valuable information about your device possible.
If you clicked that link, that is how he got the information. Whether it is accurate or not depends on what browser, system, vpn and device you are using.
Use TOR if possible, and use a dedicated device only for these things.
Do not click random links.

There probably is no leaked database, it was bait for you to click it.

That's why I keep saying that we need to limit new accounts, no posting for 24 hours after account creation, flood control until they reach a certain number of posts, no links to outside sites until a set amount of time and posts and lastly increase the stupid as hell 10 post requirements for PMs to something that requires some actual effort to unlock.

@FloofyNewfie this is actually a kinda important thing. Even setting things up similar to ZCA would limit this a lot.

ZCA has an additional requirement for new users to not just have a certain number of posts, but also a certain amount of reactions. So it's not enough to just spam, you actually have to try a little. Is that possible in the SW version this forum uses?
 
@Valkiria @frogulus and anyone else who might have clicked the link.

The information about you could have been accurate. Check it. If it is, wipe your devices that you use for ZV.
If you are using android, set a screen lock and then do a factory wipe reset. Do whatever the equivalent is for iOS.
If you are using a desktop or a laptop, encrypt your drive using bitlocker or if you are on linux your likely know what to do.
After encryption, reinstall your operating system.
That will delete the encryption header making the data impossible to recover.
Wipe any storage devices you could have used for zoo porn. Wiping means you either use a special software or at least format the drive and fill it up completely with other files. Preferably at least 3 times.
If you can spare the drive, destroy it and buy a new one.

I do not know what the likelihood of being reported is or how likely it is that you will get into trouble, but consider it carefully.
 
When you see suspicious links, scan them first with an online tool. Do this from TOR, not your own browser.
The scanner will log you scanning the url, you need to hide from the scanner too.

Scanning it like this will use some server online to render the web and get information about it, rather than your own device.

The problem is people letting their devices control everything.

If you go to the browser permissions (Firefix here) you can tell how to use your position. *at least* set itcto "ask before" and do not give precise position.

Later, you can create exceptions for every site in the popup window.

He had a photo of like 5-10 ips he had gathered, but I don’t remember seeing him post any actual list of gathered ips(other than the bait one of course)
