When acquiring your horse did you have an excuse for the seller as to why you were purchasing a colt/stallion over a gelding or mare? I only ask because I have never owned a horse but ideally four years from now I would like to purchase a colt/stallion for zoo reasons, and I realized that it wouldn't make sense to a non zoo person that a first time horse buyer would buy a colt/stallion.
