I don't know of her, but apparently with a mic technique she knew was right for what I'm guessing is a loud singing style, singing PAST the microphone, instead of straight INTO it. That is something unknown to pop so-called "artists" of today.

Koko was the stuff....the real deal...She sang the blues like the Blues were created just for her. Ill see what recordings I have and send you a couple....She and Ruthie Brown could shout you out a window and not lose a beat. For me there are only two kinds of Music....The Blues, and everything else.?
