Apparently, this artist was a great favorite of Adolf Hitler. Who'd have thought Romance ran in that ugliest of Souls? But it put CDFriedrich on the "No Fly" list post-war. Many of this mans paintings were damaged or destroyed during the two World Conflicts. Friedrich is beginning to reacquire his rightful place as a Romantic.
