Gonna start by replacing a picture from the other night which I inadvertently duplicated. This one is a handsome fellow known as J. Fred Muggs. Fred was a Co-host on the original Today show along with Dave Garroway, who was a bit of a hump himself. Muggs joined the show in about 1955....and was a Very Active sort of TV host. It's said that he bit a guest....Martha Raye....and on a game show, as a guest, with his "babysitter", Freddie disrupted the show running around in front of and behind the set...Host Gene Raeburn gave the Babysitter the full prize just to get the show finished.

And here is another....Garroway is in the Middle....the young lady chimp is Phoebe Bee Beebe, J Fred's live-in Queen of the Jungle.
Last updated in 2018, Phoebe who was a real cutie, was living with Fred in Florida. Fred was last known to be living as of 2023....Chimps can live 70 years, but good ol' Fred was about 73 as of then.
