Bent's Fort, on the Arkansas River in Colorado. This trading post was a stop for the 49ers on their way to California, but was of major imortance to the Santa Fe and Taos traders long before that. It was blown up by the Bent brothers sometime around 1846, but its been rebuilt and functioning as a museum today. Its a fascinating place. I have pics I took when I was there.
