On A Scale of 1-10, How Social Are You Irl?

On a scale of 1-10, how social are you irl?

I feel much better now that I fell into the catagory with the highest percentage (for now) #3
 
A few years ago I would have said 1½. Social interaction with people was excruciatingly exhausting to me, so I actively avoided it as far as I could. But when I was forced to keep interacting with some people at work or at university, I did open up.

After my girl entered my live, I'd say it increased to 3. For her wellbeing, talking to other dog owners is a necessity. Often people are interested in her as well, so I have even more conversations. Generally, I got more talkative than before with people I do not know and I have to interact with, and it is not as draining as before, but after a while it's still exhausting and I rather enjoy my peace.
 
at work and online super social but with new places and and just going out for the night i am super shy
 
4. i hate most crowds and drawing attention to myself. if no one approaches me i’ll always mind my own business and not talk. but around my friends i always have something to say
 
IRL I have maybe four trusted fight or die friends older then me by 30 years, was six but as you all know death finds us faster then others. I don't ever really get to meet anyone my age IV tried the hole bar scene other vendors but seems all I can accomplish is a friendly chat with Hank Williams Senior's grampa. No problem chatting or Acknowledging anyone that says hey or talks to me. Pretty friendly treat me as you want to be treated type of person.

Ah, good times. I miss those days sometimes, but I had to knock all that shit off when I graduated, got a good job, and had to actually worry about life and responsibilities. Still, you only live once! You might as well make the most of it while taking an involuntary ride on this giant clump of mud and water we call earth.

This. A lifetime of dealing with psychopaths has pretty much ruined any ability I have to hold a conversation past a few minutes.
 
My social contacts are quite Rare.

I do not enjoy any kind of partys, mostly because i do not drink, smoke, or consume any drugs, and i dont like to be constantly pushed to drink, and have to refuse, what usualy leads to more pushing, and than to a discussion about why iam do not drink. Its just anoying, happens every time and never stops.

Second, i do not like the ammount of stupidity most people are constantly babbeling about. Humans are generaly stupid, and truely belive and repeat any bullshit they got told somethere. If i had more social contacts, my forehead would suffer dramatic wear from all the facepalming.

So i put my vote on a 2.
Usualy, i only visit my nearest family once every two month or so. And i have two real good Friends on the Internet for more than 10 years, that i even already visited multible times. Guess what? They are both highly educated and have jobs requiring very high intelligence... and they dont babble bullshit!

Besides that i only have collegues.

Once upon a time I was at carnival session (for professional reasons beyond my control) and overwhelmed so much by the people, the constant offers of alcohol and the loud music that I gave up refusing and took a beer. This was great. I only sipped at it and from then on I just had to point at my almost full glass whenever anyone offered another drink. People understand much easier that you don't need anything, because you still have enough, than that you don't want some. It's what I would recommend if you can bare looking like them with an alcoholic drink in front of you.

But if you do that, things never change, and alcohol will be the number one or two drug consumed in the world. If people wanna take drugs, its there buisness, but as soon as they make it my buisness, we have a problem.
 
Im a mixed bag are we going by internet social rate i would call it a 7. In IRL its 1 or 3.

EDIT: I reread it. and chose 2 as a good middle ground taking in consideration i have good days for im slightly more social then others.

I find social interaction pointless if everybody is dishonest or has ulterior motives for personal gain. The only thing about social interaction is a game waiting to see who gets bored first. I ask myself currently if hes/shes chatting with me i wonder what their end goal is.

Being spoken to by most people annoys the hell out of me. Especially if it's empty small talk. I don't want their oral diarrhretic noises filling my head with meaningless garbage.

But with all things I do have my limits, there are definitely times where I need to be by myself to collect my thoughts and be introspective. I definitely do need to have time where I can watch videos, create music, and read information. Sometimes if I'm talking for too long with too many people, I get burned out.

So I guess a 7 works for me.

Heh, I'm the same way, however, I'm a little more introverted most of the time. So I am a 3 to your 7.
 
I'd say about a 3. I'm not going to say that I hate people but I just don't much care for them like I used to.

The last 20 years or so people have just gone so around the fucking bend with their foolishness and bullshit and I'd just rather not deal with most of it.

My daughter has asked me a few times to set up a twitter or snap chat account and I've told her very bluntly that if I ever do that I'll give her a gun and ask her make it a clean kill!!

I have a very small and close circle of friends and there may be a few (very few) people from here that I might include in that and I'm fine with things as they are!!

I used to be very social, but back in 3rd grade I was held back, so all my friends I was with went ahead and I had to stay behind, the class I ended up with for the rest of my 2nd time through 3rd grade, all the way to 8th, I never really clicked with anyone, hence causing me now being not nearly as social
 
Well I ma kida shy in person and I cant open up to someones untill I get comfortable with him/her and see that's we have the right chemistry...because always I ma afraid that I I may soemthing that they will take it wrong way and I dont like to make confusion
 
Although I am outgoing and talkative on here, I am very shy and introverted irl. The only reason I chose 2 is because my job forces me to talk to people lol.
