My lovely German shepherd is in season, for the 3rd time, I rescued her a year ago. She whimpers if I touch her paws or ears, I tried to touch her when she was horny, when she is on season, but after a short while, she walked away and withdraws consent. The most I ever achieved with her was feeling the inside of her with a finger. She is super tight and I couldn't fit anything else, she is so hairy and I couldn't aim to see where I was trying to slip into.

No-one told me it would be this hard, I'm not complaining, my bitch is happy and living her best life with me. She is a neck Turner of a beauty and we all live her very much, her character is demure and sweet. No issues.
But She is a German Shepherd, some people on the street coment that she is a big dog, I answer incredulously, this dog big?, not big enough!. They don't understand what I meant.
I saw videos of people going balls deep 😳 in smaller dogs!. I rarely feel envy, But that kinda does make me feel something. How!? How do you guys do it?.

Should I have gone for some bigger bitch?. You guys don't know how It would be cool to feel inside for the first time.

I need help with what action to take now that my bitch is in season and I need to take action to get her liking it and enjoying sex as much as I do. My girl I respect and love in many ways. I just feel that us both enjoying sex would make it so much more.
Perhaps the people with loads of experience can help me getting her liking being touched without overstepping the boundaries.

I'm slightly above average, just. 5.3" girth. 6"long, I checked the chart that one of our fellow contributors posted and a male GS is that size.
Although I never tried it fully erected, I was trying to concentrate on many things 😅 😂 also when I kneel, we aren't at the same level...
I saw and read the guides that someone posted. But they weren't helpful on how to practice with a female.
 
A male german shepherd cannot be compared to you for checking compatability with your dog. Male dogs go inside unerect and then grow inside. If the bitch is too small for a male dog he just grows until he reaches her limit (like a cock ring). She won't be happy but probably won't be harmed. With people, we're often too big before even getting stiff enough to enter. All dogs have different sizes inside and the only rule is the bigger the dog the bigger on avergage they can accomodate. A german shepherd has a good chance of being too small for you, and a great dane has a small chance. Get a giant breed for your next dog. The videos you saw of small dogs getting it balls deep was either incredible luck to get a dog like that, a thin dick on the human, or not respecting the dog. I am glad that you are letting her call it quits when she wants to. Don't listen to anyone who might mention stretching.

Is she letting you try now that she's in heat? Can you describe what you feel inside in a lot of detail and where you get stuck? Do you feel a bend inside and have you got past it?

Also, it sound like your dog might not be ready for sex. She's a rescue, she is reactive with her paws, ears, and gets uncomfortable with your attempts with sex. It sounds like she is still at the stage of building trust with you about handling her body. It can take years to get a rescue to feel okay with handling their body. If you work on her sensitivity with her paws and ears it can help with making her feel more comfortable with being handled in other areas.
 
Real life is not a porn. People see things in porn and believe it is that easy. Obviously you never heard about the hymen ring.Also during the first days of the heat, their vaginas are swelling,making it much harder to get anything inside. In that time they dont want sex. It is not a bad idea to learn something about dogs anatomy and behavior before just trying to stick whatever in them.
 
There is a reason why Zoo´s prefer big and/or old female dogs,or those who already had puppies. And thats the hymen. Because otherwise you usually have to stretch the hymen to fit in.

I've been doing some research and I joined this forum a year ago, thank you guys for making this forum. It's helping us a lot.

I know about the anatomy, and I know about how her heat cycle works. I can tell a lot about body language. I just didn't know that I had to start desensitisation activities, like touching her paws and ears daily and giving rewards and she will start association with positive things and after some time, she won’t mind me or the vet touching her ears or paws.

What I didn't know but now I know, is that I was meant to start touching her before the heat, I was waiting to start touching her until her heat.

Although she is a rescue for a year, I can tell that she trusts me and loves me. She even guards me and won't let a stranger approach me. Our relationship is great.
I go through times when I feel very sexual to dogs and lately, I have been getting a lot of sex from women and bottom males. Then I was with my dog as a good loving friendship, my dog was on the friend zone all her needs are met, she plays goes out and cuddles. But, I thought I had to wait for her heat before making a move.
