Depends on what you want. If you just want to communicate and learn, then most will be happy to communicate.
But if you want someone to give you the opportunity to "be" with their mare. Then everything is very complicated and most likely you will not succeed, at least in the near future.
Most zoos are very protective of their girls, very territorial and will not let anyone near them.
In addition, most of them simply do not want to share their beloved ones.
For example, like me, I consider my beloved my wife and we have been together for quite a long time, we have very tender loving feelings, which I am very proud of and we are each other's only sexual partners.
P.s. As I like to say: "I belong to her, and she to me".

Just being raised and living in the city here makes it hard too which sucks I hate living in one of the biggest cities in florida lol I definitely envy people who got to spend time and learn about horses growing up which I sadly was never around to learn or actually ever even really see a mare up close I've seen them behind the fence on trips and stuff like that but I definitely want more than anything is to actually meet a good owner who's looking for some friendship as well, and willing to teach me about stuff more or less I definitely want to have one myself at some point but I really just want to meet one and see how they are is all, and make a good friend or two out of it. It sucks being the only person I feel in my life who's into mares I feel so singled out lol. Sorry for rambling
