K9 M/M sexual health question

Hey guys!

I have a more general question about K9 sex.
Since the dogs penis resting in its sheath most of the time, which is a warm and moist environment, isn't there a risk of bacterial infection when engaging in anal sex with the dog?
Do you need to wash/clean their penis afterwards? (Of course, you'd douche beforehand, but gut bacteria is still present in your ass nonetheless)
What are your experiences?
Of course this would apply to horses too!
 
Don't know about horses, but successfully received sex from my pup dozens of times and didn't have any sort of complications. Just prep properly and used some natural water based lube (pretty sure it has a green logo). All in all wouldn't worry about it to much man.

And sure there's a guide in here somewhere but way to lazy to look through to link you. There are plenty of others that do that
