Is Having Sex With a Puppy Equal to Having Sex With a Minor?

Yeah, surprised this has to be asked.

The main argument for this is that they are adult sexually active animals and that is how they show consent. Sure, they don't speak literal English and say "yes", but they can communicate sexial desire through body language and reactions. A pup that's sexually abused may never be receptive to sexual encounters when it grows up. I also kinda don't believe in forcing sex on neutered/spayed individuals.

Other than that, even sexual desire interest shouldn't be the only thing considered. After-all, we all knew our fair share of sexually promiscuous teenage females when we were in school. Doesn't make it okay to bang a horny teenager... the responsibility is on you, the adult, to determine if your pup is developed both physically and mentally to be ready for a "good time"

Zoophilia is about love for the animal first. Trying to fuck a puppy is selfish and abusive.

Excluding the activities of a human minor going through the experimental process of zoo discovery with the help of a puppy who licks everything in sight...once you're an adult (and especially for those looking to penetrate rather than be penetrated), you need to put your companion first because they cant speak for themselves. That's why we create guidelines on how to take care of them as partners despite being different species and instinct.

"Forcing" sex is always a bad thing to do, no matter if an animal is spayed or neutered or not. But there are spayed (probably less neutered, but they exist) dogs which love sexually fulfilling experiences and clearly show this themself.

In most cases they've had a fulfilling and loved sexual life prior to those measures (which are then mostly chosen due to health-related needs, as example cancer removal - and not "just randomly to rob a dog out of their sexual life".

It's not that rare that they stay interested in their own sexual fulfillment. And there's no "forcing", if a dog itself shows clear requests as well as interests. 🤷‍♂️
My experiences out of first hand were with dogs of >8 and almost 4 years of age, as such not related to young dogs. It's even a given in wolves, but there are only a few people which experienced such.

What's your thought about this matter?

A "puppy" is differing between individual languages and their specific words. In English language it means before 5-6 months of age. A dog in this age quite often still has some of his first milk teeth. How would you yourself compare this with humans? 🤷‍♂️

In German there's as well "puppy", but "young dog" too. And a "puppy" is before the age of around 3,5-4 months. It's not acceptable to assume sexual interest or readiness out of their own body experience in such an early age. A young adult varies from around 8 months for very small breeds (which are under 5 kg!) to 12 months with breeds of the low to middle weight class up to around 18+ months in big sizes / giant breeds. And many are still not fully developed (bone tissue density, muscle growth and more) before the age of 18-24 months.

Even if they get their first heat (or hormonal readiness to fertilize in terms of a male dog) beforehand, their body is still mostly in development. As such their first heat can resemble "adult" age (if as example occurring at 14-17 months of age in a breed size, which is below the biggest ones), but it can as well appear in "puppies" or "almost puppies", which would declare such sexual activities as what you've asked - and state it a no-go. Simple.
