I just wanted to say....

IJWTS Patton Oswalt is my favorite living comedian, not least because he confronts his own depression by pointing out its absurdity, which is the funniest thing in the world to me.
 
I just wanted to say... I get that when television ads tell me to think positive, they mean be hopeful, but a part of me thinks of it as, "remember, there's a disease lurking out there."

Is that so? You haven't met me then - tell me the ugly truth over pretty lies any day. Not to mention there's more than enough of us in the world that want to know the truth, yet far too many would insist on lies, and it's the crowd that wants lies that ruins it for those of us that want the truth.

Therefore, what is the truth? Do you know what it is?
 
IJWTS... I don't understand what marriage even is anymore. Half of them end in divorce, many of the others are unhappy, both parties still have to work and have separate lives anyway. What kind of life partnership can you have if you still have to hide yourself around them? Why even get married, other than tax breaks?

IJWTS "marriage" is nothing more than an arrangement, an "agreement", so to speak. But to claim it's based on "love" but then to try and change the other person in it isn't an act of love - if you love the other person, you take them as they are, not as you want them to be.

And putting up a facade just to get "married" certainly is not "love" - it was a lie to trap someone into "matrimony". At that point, "marriage" becomes a crock of shit, an uneven "relationship", if you could call it that.

Weddings are a complete waste of time and money and the only bonus of a marriage is the tax break. Go to your local court house and get married there.
Then take all the money you saved and have an amazing vacation or buy yourselves something fun.

100% truth. I feel like its similar to Hallmark cards, they'll spend 10 bucks on a card that someone looks at once and then buries in a drawer forever. Some industries/traditions just refuse to die, there's just too much money in them.
 
Also, IJWTS I Think You Should Leave on Netflix is fantastic. If anyone enjoys sketch comedy, give it a go!
 
IJWTS there are those in the world who want nothing but total control over everything and everyone and won't rest until they get it. What a nightmare world that would be. Summed up - a world that is dominated. Basically, as close to hell as one could imagine...
